His bench included, Dybala, Higuain, Pavon, Banega, Biglia and so much firepower it's inexcusable. And what does he do? Sets them up in that shitty 343 and expects them to grind it out?
A solid manager adapts to the talent he has. That's the entire job. His tactics worked with Chile cause that's how they play ball, but he never made the adjustment to Argentina. The man has ZERO tactical ability.
There's no way in hell this team should be losing matches with that much in the arsenal, unless its piss poor management which is what we got for 180 mins of ball.

Messi absolutely not. He's simply the victim of shit management. Managers are supposed to put players in position to win, but Messi doesn't get that with Argentina. He always gets managers that are too proud to adapt to his style of play and force him into unnatural positions.
There's no way one of arguably the best players in the world should be collecting the ball from the goalkeeper more times than not. Full stop. That man was 50 yards from goal for most of the game. That's telling in and of itself.
