Teams do what they have to do to win, I understand that. But just to me personally, attacking and pressing the opponent is what wins my respect. I'm not saying anyone has to agree with that. It's not like Germany are lacking in talent to employ those tactics as well.

Not surprising. I have said it, and have been vindicated again. This game is about the midfield, and the midfield is the game. Spain have the number 1 midfield in the world, the Netherlands also have an excellent midfield with Snejder, De Jong, Robben and co... I think that the Nederlands will lose... I do not think that Van Persie has scored a single goal in the tournament. Spain could not beat Brazil, simply because they would never be able to outsprint Maicon, Michel Bastos and Maicon. However, they would foul Felipe Melo out of the game because I do not think that he can handle the pressure in midfield from Iniesta...

Sometimes the "anti-football" rants can be overwhelming. Teams go out to win, not look pretty. If that what it takes, that's just what it takes.

This is BS. Germany v. the Dutch would have been an instant classic. So much history there. Now we are going to have to listen to ESPN overhype the Spanish the way that they did Brasil. Full credit to the Germans for going out with class. We KNOW for a fact that had Spain lost, there would have been an incident. I don't even want to go watch the final now. The bars are going to be packed with clueless/obnoxious barca fans...

Holland all the way..actually i was telling my girl that the dutch team used to be about 55% percent black i remember because i used to visit my father in Holland when he worked for Heineken...and i loved watching them with Patrick Kluivert, seedorf and davids...they were Suriname born..but if u go to holland especially in the black areas u will see a lot of black peeps from suriname...fine women

Yea, the Dutch are my only option now. Anything but seeing Spain lift the trophy on African soil is fine by me.
