***Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread***

hhhmmm........did any of these guys even show up....

shit is any of them even left....

Drogba is the only one that SHOWED UP! fucking broken arm and he was out there like a warrior. and he scored a sick goal on a stationary header.

fuck the rest of them over-rated club players. especially Christiano Ronaldo and Messi bitch ass.

I personally think that the German players have been training together for more than the short time specified. I think these cats trained together whenever they had the time, may be it in their off seasons, etc. NO team can connect like that without HOURS of practice.

Could be that, or the fact that 22 of the 23 players in the German team play in Germany... but the same could be said for Italy and look @ what happened to them.

Spain, also 19/23 players play in Spain... but they've struggled. And some people have suggested that Germany have been playing with the new football longer than anyone else.

Re: >>> OFFICIAL WORLD CUP THREAD <<< ...Discuss....

In 2006, Argentina took the lead against Germany then the coach took out Riquelme, and never put in Messi. They ended up losing in penalties.

Pekerman. :smh: Riquelme didn't looked gassed to me that match.

Re: >>> OFFICIAL WORLD CUP THREAD <<< ...Discuss....

Who cares ???

Bye bye Argentina.......

Who's gonna bother with the Spain vs. Paraguay game?

Unless Paraguay got something we never seen before showing up, this game is gonna be a bore.
I say Spain's got this one, Villa continues his terrific form while Torres still can't find the back of the next but gets close.

Pedro comes in and puts one in the back of the net :D:yes:

"Tevez and Mascherano are the only players that sweat that jersey. Everyone else is there for promotional reasons."

My boy's a diehard Albiceleste supporter, and he just text me that.

I'm just sayin, it makes you wonder at times. What really comes first to today's footballer?

Agreed. It's very tough to compare players who've been together for so long, learning different club philosophies, and then all of a sudden putting it down for country.

I feel that Messi tried to do his part, he didn't dog it out there if you ask me. Now maybe I'm defending him because of what he's done for my club but what he's done for Barca has created the high expectations. Argentina needs someone in the midfield to distribute and find the men on the wings or running behind the back line....Messi is not the man for that position.

Messi can find ppl and make some passes but we have Xavi to do that whom Messi can play off of and Argentina has Messi set as that guy.

Have you ever seen any of the English players in the Champions League? They sweat blood because the financial rewards are huge

Champions League football has already surpassed the World Cup in many player's minds

Germans are proud. VERY PROUD. COUNTRY FIRST. I love that about them. I work with a few German scientists and they swear that German engineering and technology is God's gift. Meticulous as fuck. Shit can be annoying though but you gotta give it to them. These muhfuckas are a UNIT. They play like a machine. Conditioned as fuck. They were ready to play for another 90 minutes today. Shit. Even when they lose they lose hard. And they are loyal. It's not an accident that 99% of them play in the Bundesliga.

Say what you want about Germany but you can't deny these facts.

C/S

I don't see how people can dispute this

Could also say that Germany is much younger side yet experienced @ the club level, while Italy is old as dirty and Spain is a mixture but more towards the older side.

How so true

Not a fan of Argentina but it could be the fact that Maradona's coaching never sit well with his star player Messi.

How did Maradona become a coach again?

Maradona is an arrogant bastard. So is Messi. That's a fail fail.

Players are loyal to their countries, not some domestic club.

Like the French team? Anelka is already back in London and looking forward to collect that £90k a week

He won the double the with Chelsea and is millionaire. But, yes he is loyal to France??

Jamie Carragher even refused to play for England. Capello begged him to come back. Manchester United's Paul Scholes gave up playing for England too

Legendary Dutchman Ruud Gullit walked out on Holland on the eve of USA 94

The club makes them wealthy and they spend 10 months a year there

Maybe some foreign players are more patriotic like the North Korean player.. but it's the club that have the loot and the glamour

This is the mentality of Cameroonian and Nigerian players... completely without any patriotism.

Would you rather watch Greece vs South Korea or

AC Milan vs Benfica, Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid etc. Those games have a global audience

Probably have higher ratings too

and the entire English, French and too many other squads to mention. Playing for your country will not put any money in your pocket.

You will see those same English failures kissing their shirts after scoring and chasing back to shut down a player in the 90th minute even though they are 3-1 up

Mercenaries

I have to cosign this 100%. He is a physical player that dominates in the air and still played with a broken arm. Say what you will about him but you can never question his heart or motivation.

Hahhaha basically...and I see later on that dude conceded...it was such a foolish comment and cats was defending his statement smmfh...South American teams dropping like flies yet no mention of their football IQ...4-0 is horrendous

SOUTH AMERICAN TEAMS LACK THE INTELLIGENCE AND MENTAL FOCUS TO FINISH. THEY HAVE LOW FOOTBALL IQ DUE TO THEIR ETHNICITY. LACK OF DISCIPLINE AND FOCUS.

THIS S THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH SOUTH AMERICA AND SOUTH AMERICAN TEAMS. :hmm:

:hmm:

Point taken.

Yes, he always has fire in his belly and was fully aware of the importance of this tournament to not only his country, but to the whole of Africa and beyond.

Not quite a gem. Maybe cubic Zirconia.

It has nothing to do with the nationality of the coach. Hardly. Two of Africa's (Nigeria's) most inspired motivated and successful team of ALL time were coached by foreigners:
Clemens Westerhoff (1988-1994) who took The Super Eagles to an African Nations Cup Championship and the first World Cup in 1994 (where they went in...save late game antics by Baggio, a lapse in focus by Sunday Oliseh and a racist referee) and a FIFA world ranking or #5.
Bonfere Jo (1995-1996) who took the arguably the "dream-team" to an Olympic Gold medal in 1996 with that INSPIRED comeback semi-final game against Brazil from 3-0 down after the first half to win. That Brazilian team was loaded too! Romario, Bebeto, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Juninho, Rivaldo and Dida.

So, I vehemently reject your indigenous coach argument.

Also, how many goals were scored the following world class super-stars; Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Kaka, and Rooney? Now how many chances were missed?

It's about the TEAM. THE TEAM. Not the nationality of the players.

Attribute Substitution like a mf! :smh:

Nwanem, Kedu.

Ghana's John Pantsil brands Uruguay striker Luis Suarez a 'cheat' for goal-line hand ball:

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2890...10-ghanas-john-pantsil-brands-uruguay-striker
As much of a cheat and bitch Suarez is for that, Gyan still should have put that PK in the back of the net. They had a chance for redemption and couldn't convert on it.

Yes. He missed an easy chance against Australia and one today. That guy is a goal machine

He also missed an easy one today when Muller gave him that pass right in the middle of the box.

There was NO comment by you about the mentality of European players w/ the meltdown of UK and France...don't attempt to speak about something you know nothing of re: objectivity...especially since your remark was a subjective one jackass oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Real talk.:smh:

Now I rest my hopes in Uruguay and Paraguay. If they don't do it, then I'm going to be forced to root for Spain.:smh::angry::hmm:

Fuck Uruguay.

In the absense of Ghana I want Germany to win this Worldcup 2010.

They've played clean, precise and honest football throughout this tournament unlike Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay who relied almost entirely on diving, flopping and blatant handballs to eliminate other teams.

Fuck all of their cheating ass's.
