***Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread***

I was wondering this myself. Why does african support seem much smaller to that of the opposition? I wonder if cats would rather watch the tourney from the comfort of their homes.

SA refused Visa to most Africans under the impression that they wouldn't go back after the tournament.

I sort of agree on this one. The North Koreans played their asses off while the brazilians didn't look too good in my opinion.

They actually looked great to me and much better than the squad from the last cup. That squad from 06 was fucking horrible and Ronaldo saved them because he is a scoring machine (fat and out of shape or not)..

They do look better than the '06 squad but the '06 squad was garbage and would have been knocked out by Ghana if they had anybody who could shoot on target and Essien wasn't suspended. I know thats a lot of "ifs", but you get my point. haha

I still think they could benefit from someone with creativity in the middle of the pitch (dinho). I mean even old, slow Deco looked dangerous at times today and provided some good balls.

I swear I am done with the tournament if any of the following happen:

France plays Govou and Gourcuff instead of Malouda and Henry
The Ivorians drop any points against the North Koreans...
:lol::smh:

Finally, do you think that any of FIFAs fuck ups in SA with ticket pricing are possible in Brasil in 2014? I know that Brasil is much stronger than SA economically but I was under the impression that SA had enough of a middle class to fill the seats...Its sad to see so many empty seats at the world cup....

I agree... Ghana actually played well.. I think that had to be one of those misleading 3-0 games Ive seen in my entire life....

Though I agree with Dunga and his choices... even I was like..damn...Dinho would have been nice to have right now..especially the way Kaka was playing early.... but Dinho played like shit in the last world cup AND that mofo does too much partying and drinking and shit... that is why a few players didnt make the team this year...Adriano, Pato, Dinho, etc...because of the extra drama...

but yeah...I was thinking that Dinho would have been nice in the middle today... Brasil lacks speed in the middle

Yeah...brazil has a much stronger middle class...but no way there will be issues with the tickets... that is all people care about here...Brasilians will burn this muthafucka down if there are issues with world cup tickets.....now if a politicians gets caught stealing a few million they will just be like :hmm::hmm:..... problems with world cup ticket prices and :angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

I disagree with Gullit... Going sideways is what Brazil tried all first half, without success. The only reason why they scored is because the Koreans abandoned their defensive stand and attempted to steal 3 points. They were caught on quick hit, before their defense had set. Again, my maxim that midfield is the first line of defense was proven.. There were only 4 backline men, and the midfielders who had jammed the spaces were not there. Once the ball got to Elano, Macon was able to get behind and fit the ball in a crack oh well... That changed the dynamics as Korea had to attack, thereby openning themselves for another goal.. Brazil's midfeild showed me nothing. The only spark was Robinho, Kaka is overrated, and Elano has no business being there ahead of Ronaldinho... Felipe Melo is nothing but a glorified defender, a very rough one at that... This midfield will not hold Drogba, Kalou and Eboue...I think Ivory Coast will complete what South Africa, Egypt and South Korea started...

South Korea is the worst team in the tournament, ranked number 105 in the world. The ineptitude of the Brazilian midfield was laid bare. South Korea should have stuck in the shell and held Brazil to a 0-0 draw.

North Korea you mean.

I disagree though they are better than New Zealand.

Ninja thinks he speaks for all African people, posting rousing speeches on a porn board :smh:

midfield midfield midfield midfield...

its entertaining when he brings up random names from the past, ud think he reads the game from a book the way he speaks. but i cant be bothered to answer any of it really. why my post count is so low. anyway, north korea played well but this group is more open then i thought. anyone can go thru, but n. korea will come 4th i know that.

but i will say this, eboue is a right back who pushes up and kalou is a striker, so at least no what the fuck ur talking about, too rapped up in the word "midfield", u rly think a right back and a centre forward are "midfield" huh. :hmm:

Well from what i saw today, brazil will be lucky to make it into the first cut, a lot of midfielders and defenders and not attackers, they look lost with this team, i can only imagine, if they going to rely on robhino as there only true threat, nasty.

I do think that dunga had he's agenda and it's clearly backfiring, let's wait and see.
