OK, so let me get this straight, for South Africa to make the next round they'll need at least another goal (without giving any up), and Uruguay to get another one (against Mexico) for the point differential to put them past Mexico, right? But, even if that happens, Mexico and Uruguay will both make it too. Is that correct?

Would not surprise me. I've felt that Mexico has either under performed or are just not as good as we thought. They looked shaky towards the end of the qualifying rounds.

but onto france, i have no idea how this happened but the coach who's on his way out with another coach in place should not be coaching in such an important tournament. this is the world cup, there won't be another and he's using this time to show he's the boss when he really isnt he's the lame duck. if i was french i'd literally want to kill this man. and if he gets killed or fucked up behind this i wouldn't blame them. how do you ruin a world cup because of your ego. and not playing henry? i mean what kind of sense does this make on any level? i mean not starting henry? it just doesnt make sense. i'm glad henry has already won everything and is on his way to the u.s. fuck france come to l.a. or miami make yourself home woo bitches with the french accent stay in a penthouse school scrubs in the mls and get away from the france shit altogether. i wouldnt even come back and visit after this shit, me and my family would be in the u.s. chilling enjoying life. let them miserable fucks rot.
i'm also glad that zidane is staying clear, he did everything he could for them, and really by the way this coach is acting i'd wish zidane had played for algeria instead.

Hey, I think Domenech is a dumbazz but all the blame shouldn't fall on him. At the end of the day it's up to the players to execute. They have sucked and have had 0 heart. I can't support this group. If you as a player can't get up for the World Cup you should jut retire from international play.

I think it should be put on him for his actions and i think it needs to be put on whoever is over french football for making him a lame duck coach. making him have no authority with players. they took the power out of his hands. the new coach should be there now
now as far as the players go, you can go and play with as much heart as you want but if your best star is on the bench for unknown reasons and your best squad isnt out there with no explanation as why then what? with the squad they had out there i think france did their best. they had no real threat henry was on the bench ribery can't do it by himself. the players did what they could until they couldnt take it anymore.
every game in the world cup is like game 7
so imagine if phil jackson said im not coaching the lakers next year and in game 7 against boston he sat kobe and gasol on the bench and didnt put them in until the 4th quarter, how would the players respond to that?
I agree with you there. I don't understand why he was there if he wasn't coming back. I've never liked him but there are a lot of teams that have no business being in the World Cup and still play with heart.
France is just one big mess.
I still don't get why Henry hasn't played a single minute in this tournament.
