Gotta take into account the difficulty to acquire a firearm in NY especially in the boroughs. It's not like NC where you can get a purchase permit or CCH relatively easily within the span of a few weeks to months. In NY there's a waiting list of multiple months just to get an appointment to request permission to purchase a firearm. Then there's another waiting period to go through the process to get approval. I know people who waited well over a year just to get the 1st appointment Hell I recall a member in here saying he waited so long that he moved outta state & was able to get a firearm months before finally heading from someone in NY to be seen for his appointment. By that time it was no longer relevant for him.
