Me either until I saw the request.
Listen it was going to a million dollars ANYWAY.
They didn't have to ASK for that much. It don't cost 750k to bury somebody.
FYI - They RAISED the shit another 100k. It's 850k now
I'm sad for the kid as a father, I want those responsible to hang but that shit
rubs me the wrong way. It's like money is the focus here (hence, raising the amount)
Hmmm... I don't love that goal moving part.
Okay let's break it down
I think you might be the only one to immediately ASSUME they would raise a million dollars. And we all SHOULD feel that way.
It don't usually work like that for the black victim.
I wouldn't bet finding my child's murderer on a gofundme
I wouldn't assume legal support funeral costs private investigators having to potentially hire security maybe even move, etc etc etc
That is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination.
So I understand needing the money.
And since this is the first time that family had to deal with this? they don't know the "rules" they just trying to get answers.
I just don't FEEL anything nefarious
Except a murder of an innocent black child.
I UNDERSTAND COMPLETELY what you saying. And the way you broke it down I see your perspective but for me?
That doesn't even register. I'm focused on finding the killer. And from everything we have heard? They are good parents suffering the worst fate imaginable against a system and a state and country built to make them even more miserable.
I just don't see "greed" here.
But I could be wrong.
