I don't see the need to have kids ( I have 3) but in reality - if you are living a good life, you perform, travel all the time and not doing a 9 to 5 why would you want to have kids especially a woman. More and more young women ( under 30 ) don't see the point in having kids.
We have 7 Billion people on this planet going up to 10 Billion by the end of the century - why are kids mandatory accessory in a person especially a financially successful woman's life?

Interestingly - I have study populations and population issues around the world and most of the countries complaining about changing demographies are countries like Japan that has very restrictive populations and countries like Poland that has a youth population that get the hell out of Poland on the first thing smoking leaving the elderly population the dominant population in the country. Bottomline - children as a whole are becoming a scarce resource and by 2050 we will no longer exceed replacement levels of children and that after 2100 the population will actually start decreasing although the age people will be living will hold off a precipitous drop.
Anyway my note was not about population but more about how some women just don't want to ever have children and that is ok.

I understood what you were saying and they were good points. It made me think about the responses some of these CACs would have or do have about their declining numbers and the resulting frenzy.
I know people that have dogs and love their dog running to them - I don't want a dog or a pet and would live my life just fine without them, many people love their nieces and nephews like their own and with that being said I know parents who have many kids and not a single one takes care of them but I also know people with no kids but have doting nieces and nephews and even family friend's kids.

Let me be clear, All i am saying is that there is NOTHING wrong with a woman who is in her 30s, 40s or 50s with no kids and not even married if she has a successful career or can take care of herself. I know far more broken and damaged married women with lots of kids and making them as damaged as her. Why are they put on some pedestal because they followed some societal playbook and got married and had kids vs a woman who didn't and people assume something is wrong with her.
We all get to follow different paths to happiness.
