Based on what everyone did last season....he's probably the best that's available. You have guys who can potentially be better like RGIII and I guess Kap if he's available. But Fitz not fooling me. You can take Ryan Fitzpatrick off the table. The Denver Broncos reached out to his agent to see if his asking price was within range and it was not.
Reportedly, Fitzpatrick is asking for $18 million a year. If the Broncos wouldn't pay Brock Osweiler that much it is doubtful they will come to Fitzpatrick with that number. The 33 year old journeyman quarterback is coming off a career year where he threw for 4,000 yards and 31 touchdowns for the New York Jets. His career touchdown to interception ratio is also respectable at 154-116.
Who knows, maybe the Broncos might revisit this if the Colin Kaepernick trade talks do not go down as John Elway hopes. For now, however, they are quite reluctant to come anywhere near Fitzpatrick's salary demands.

This is what I'm stressing he had he best year ever under that team. He'd be a fool to leave and whatever big contract he's looking for it likely happening.
Fitzpatrick had the luxury of having a top receiver who can pull down just about any garbage ass throw he makes and a high caliber defense that could keep games close enough or close them out in spite of his play. Their defense will be weaker this season so he won't have that security blanket this season. Jets are smart not to give him that money and might be better served looking at drafting a QB to eventually take over.
That's been my point to folks who wants him in Denver,how can anyone want him on the Broncos when he choked in that quarter with a playoff berth on the line.....
