Watched the 1st episode. Not impressed. Full of clichés.

#1. Dysfunctional family.
#2. Stupid, naïve, blonde white wife.
#3. Over the top sinister brother.
#4. Constantly creates unrealistic reasons to keep family in dangerous country.
#5. Secrets. (Gay son story arc, Barry probably f-cked sister in-law in the past story arc, Barry shoots man as a boy. etc...)

Plus; you mean to tell me that NO ONE in that family picked up a newspaper or Googled "Barrys" family history BEFORE going over there!!!
Stupid premise.

And once again; using a white actor, to portray a person of color. I guess if they used a completely Middle Eastern cast FX figures white people wouldn't watch it. (Yeah, yeah, I know his mother on the show is white. But I'm not feeling this for some reason.)
