New Edition biopic - this actually looks interesting!!

I remember when Bobby Brown went solo i laughed and was like "how is he gonna go solo and i've never heard him really singing on any of the songs". Plus i always thought New Edition was a group Michael Bivins put together and managed

Why the FUCK did they/do they continue fucking with Bobby Brown, dude burned them over and over again. That scene where they were on the stage he wasn't even onstage with the rest of the group he got to be introduced to the stage and then got a set by himself..WTF
As dope as he was, he wasn't an innocent victim. Back when "Candy Girl" was popping, we opened for them at Shyran's Showcase. We were in their dressing room chopping it up, and Bob was wildin' THE FUCK OUT! Throwing bottles, breaking shit, pulling on bitches and whatnot. As we were leaving, Shy D says to me, "Yo, Ant, mark my words. That little nigga is always going to be in and out of jail."

I always felt "Promises" was inspired by "Roni".

This whole movie is a testament.

Get yours!

The people who were relying on others lost at the end.

With that being said, still gotta know when enough is enough.

Ralph gave too much. Lost.

Ricky gave too much. Lost.

Bobby did too much. Won. Bobby kept doing too much. Look at all the loss around him.

Johnny did enough and was able to stretch his career.

Mike did enough and was able to move into another lane.

Ronnie did enough and secured what he had.

Ya'll REALLY undervaluing my prerogative...

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

that was a GREAT solo intro record...

cause it fit HIM and DEFINED and let the audience KNOW

I'm Bobby Brown you heard ALL the stories and for the rest of my career It's My Prerogative...

people in the hood didn't even KNOW that word existed before that song and I heard EVERYONE using it after that

and it just fit and defined BB perfectly

So...yes Don't Be Cruel was a MONSTER but that first single?

That Kicked Open the DOOR.

AGREED !!!!

My Prerogative is Bobby Brown's personal mantra.... it has always fit him. Teddy Riley created the perfect marriage between an artist and a song there. That songs was a nuclear bomb on radio it crossed over in a week POP radio loved it too.

Don't be cruel, Every little step, Roni, and Rock Witcha were huge too

Why the FUCK did they/do they continue fucking with Bobby Brown, dude burned them over and over again. That scene where they were on the stage he wasn't even onstage with the rest of the group he got to be introduced to the stage and then got a set by himself..WTF

That's their brother.... they're from the same projects. They understand and love Bobby, they just can't control him. At Whitney Houston's wedding they were all there as best men

New Edition story was great only the 5 Heartbeats is comparable.

What's often neglected about New Edition is they're the bridge between Motown R&B and current hip hop R&B. Without them Hip Hop music may not have transitioned into mainstream America as effortlessly.

Remember they were rapping on bubble gum R&B pop songs in early 80s. Girls were not listening to run dmc but they loved BBD and Bobby Brown. They made hip hop appear safe enough for America. Under appreciated
