At some point, Stephen Hill and the other folks in charge at BET realized that the audience that they built from Donnie Simpson thru Free & AJ had all checked out during their ratchet Frankie & Neffie era. Now they're spending the money for talent like Will Packer and Gabrielle Union and tapping back into our nostalgia and rich cultural history to win back their audience with quality, scripted programming. It's a solid plan, hopefully more networks will follow suit. Ratchet Reality needs to die, soon!!
