New Edition biopic - this actually looks interesting!!

Also, we heard the stories of Biv fucking over Boy II Men, so the fact that allowed that scene in there with him being the phone with them and asking, "Did you read your contract?" took balls.
I thought on their breakfast club interview they said they did not get screwed over?

This shit was nicely done. I kinda wish I had waited until it hit Kodi to watch it in full because of the commercial breaks, but other than that, shit was solid.

I liked it besides those damn commercials.

I dvr the episodes so it wasn't as bad as watching it live.

BET never EVER had a show or tele-movie of this quality - so I knew what was coming... I plan to get the torrents and marathon it this weekend

They may have more. 4.4 million tuning in nightly according to variety. Stop letting lifetime jack the stories best suited for them.

I wonder why Ralph didn't blow up bigger after going solo?

He was too mellow for that time in 90s. He did great slow jams but the nice guy was out of style

Yeah, he was a little too smooth. He should have dropped his solo sooner. I did like "Money Can't Buy You Love" though. I forget what soundtrack that was on. I liked "Who's The Mack?" as well.

Ralph tried to come out rugged with that "THIS RHYTHM IS RATED R!" joint but ain't nobody go for that shit.

In the movie, Ralph was particularly mad in one scene because instead of dropping his solo (the one he first did, not the one with Sensitivity on it), he did the NE Heartbreak album & they dropped Bobby Brown's album at the same time. He (Ralph) implied that he did all the styles of music that Bobby did & missed out. By the time of Sensitivity, he was just jaded about it.

He was trippin ...he doesn't have Bobby's demeanor or temperament. I used to say women want Ralph Tresvant until someone breaks in the house..... then they wished the had Bobby Brown

this is the hardest Ralph got (and it felt false then)

yeah, Money Can't Buy You Love - I still really like that song...
was a good soundtrack at the time

yeah - there is noway in hell Ralph was going to make My Prerogative...
but the rest of the album he would have killed in the studio... but as a performer Ralph wouldn't have the right swag to pull it off on stage or in the videos.
iirc Prerogative wasn't the first single I think it was Don't Be Cruel, it was a solid song but the 2nd single was Prerogative- when it dropped that was Bobby's rocket and to follow that with Roni & Rock With You killed everyone... IMO NE Heartbreak is a much better album but Bobby swinging back and forth from bold and giving no fucks, to sweet, had girls / women going crazy.... Ralph doing Every little Step, Roni and Rock With You would have been too too soft

Ya'll REALLY undervaluing my prerogative...

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

that was a GREAT solo intro record...

cause it fit HIM and DEFINED and let the audience KNOW

I'm Bobby Brown you heard ALL the stories and for the rest of my career It's My Prerogative...

people in the hood didn't even KNOW that word existed before that song and I heard EVERYONE using it after that

and it just fit and defined BB perfectly

So...yes Don't Be Cruel was a MONSTER but that first single?

That Kicked Open the DOOR.

Why the FUCK did they/do they continue fucking with Bobby Brown, dude burned them over and over again. That scene where they were on the stage he wasn't even onstage with the rest of the group he got to be introduced to the stage and then got a set by himself..WTF
