The US Senate concluded a marathon voting session on Saturday, passing President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill 50-49. I think it's interesting how the dems ran on increased monthly supplements back to $600, $2000 check, and minimum wage increase and none of it happened. But, very few of the supporters will really say anything.
It's a win lose situation. Dems will win some Republican voters who are receiving the stimulus and really need the funds and lose some of the dems who have now been cut out due to the restriction change.
Bernie, AOC, Omar and a few others have publicly shared their disapproval with this package and how the dems have handled this.
It's still crazy to see how many republicans voted against the bill. Maybe they could argue that they wanted more. That's why they vored no. Lol!! Both parties have serious issues.
