This is correct. Keep in mind that negotiations are fluid. The circumstances have changed which now has lead both sides to rewrite their proposals. At first, the Republicans were like yeah, we are cool with $300 dollars. Now, they are like, f dat, people are surviving without any money now, so they don't need direct payments anymore, so lets give it to the business owners, this will give us brownie points with our voters. Democrats are like, man, if we can score the $600 a week through the election along with no evictions and even more money in one time payments, this would be huge brownie points with our voters.
Politics will always creep into any legislation. What I' referring to is that the poster claimed the dems didn't want aid gong to the people because it would make Trump look good. So are the dems now trying to make Trump look good, are they caving in, or are they trying to give aid to the people?

Imagine having a lawyer. You did the crime you are catching the case for. 1000 percent guilty as fuck. Now you know the DA wants to fuck you over. It's the job of your lawyer to get the case tossed or mitigate the fucking damage. You're facing 15 fucking years. At first, the DA don't even want to reduce charges OR drop any of the 'extras.' Shit turns to your favor when there are procedural problems with some of the evidence, but you still facing years in the pen on the weaker case.
Your lawyer saying drop the case completely or you taking it to the box and risking the 15. Playing with your fucking life while they go home.

After a couple continuances, DA comes with 6 months and 3 years papers. Your fucking lawyer turns it down on your behalf without telling you.
That's effectively what Pelosi's bitch ass did. The enemy is clearly the GOP. They didn't want to come up off shit. But somehow they were going to do $400/wkly unemployment on top of direct stimulus. Pelosi turned it down. She wasn't acting in good faith. GOP is who we thought they are, but there is no reason for Pelosi to negotiate like this UNLESS she is just doing it with the election in mind. She wants unhappy voters. Period.
Since MSM is clearly against Trump, Pelosi figured the bet was worth it. She knows the MSM won't ever go at her. FOX is going to Fox, the rest won't.
Either Pelosi is the worst negotiator in D.C. or she purposefully avoided a deal. To get the GOP to agree to both a stimulus and 400/wk was like hitting it big in Vegas and not cashing out. They even came off Mitch's protections. Now UE is around 8 percent and even with the dems tiered proposal the payout would be 400. Clownshit. Not to mention no stimulus and the same funding for state and local.
