It’s school time which means it’s spending time for most parents.. clothes, supplies, tech.. smartest thing to do would have had the stimulus checks shipped out late august/ early September... this would of had mad money circulating to business.. so it would have benefited big biz more than anything.. give them money to get it right back

The pushback against this will be that most states have resumed business as usual, or at least working towards it. So, the initial argument for needing the stimulus is no longer applicable.

I don’t know if you know my story but I grew up poor. Real poor not American poor. I had one composition book for the entire school year. My kids received a EBT card a few months back. A fucking food card. If you want your children to learn you will find a way.
School will be online.. you need internet service and some kind of device in order to use zoom.. that right there is money that would need to be spent and goes back into big biz pockets..see how that works.. big biz wins regardless.. so give them money so we can get it right back

Initially, this was the case. However BOTH sides were adding other stuff not related to the stimulus. The Republicans conceded slightly and agreed to extend the $600 bonus at least through the break. The Democrats said no. Then Trump signs an executive order granting a $400 bonus since congress could not get it together. But of course there is a trick to this. The order stated that the federal government would pay $300 and the state would pay $100. So, now states are on the hook as well and now they do not want to do it. South Dakota told its citizens, nope, yall are good, you do not need anything. NY at first was like nope, then everyone went crazy. So, Cuomo changed his mind.So the Dems wanting to keep it at $600 and the Klan wanting it a $400 or $200 means the Dems are at fault?

This needs to be repeated. Most states are back to functioning at the new normal. In most places, all businesses are open. The difference is that masks and social distancing measures are in place.

I’m in philly. they have a shitty school district. They sent out chrome books back in the spring. If you have a cell phone you have a tethering option. Comcast also has a $10 month internet plan.
That's exactly the case and that is because the dems have too many faction within the party. The smaller group (liberals..progressives...democratic socialist...far left whatever they want to call themselves) is also the loudest group.
This is not quite right. The Democrats actually did hold their ground on this. This is why the president exercised his power to write an executive order. Congress has to pass legislation to overturn an executive order. Which in this case would have been a death wish for either party to try to veto it. Us, the Democrats wouldn't have gotten enough votes to pass legislation to overturn the executive order.
That was the perception that was allowed to be manipulated. Since it was what the republicans wanted, of course they wouldn't say anything. They allowed a branch to execute an illegal act.
