nets really can't fire avery...everything proky has done has been with convinction...he hired avery b4 he had a gm b/c he believed in avery. for good or bad proky has to keep avery even if it costs them williams. can't go into bk a total rebuilding project after last season and this season.
if harris was still the pg then yeah but not with williams he's a star with one year left on his deal the nets will have to show him they know what they r doing or new hc or not he's gone. either way he's gonna be a free agent and choose between bk, ny or the texas teams firing the head coach will put the nets behind those 3 teams...this is a big time gamble by the nets if it works out then its gonna be great ball next several years if it doesn't the nets just damned themselves to being one of the worst teams in the league for a while.

I'm looking at Hoopshype. Its suppose to be legit but you never know. I haven't heard shit about a player option but they say he has one for 17 million. I guess it depends on this new CBA on whether or not he re-signs. Like for instance Richard Jefferson had a player option for about 12 million and declined the Spurs. He ended up re-signing for more years rather than more money per year but he was looking at the long haul. Deron might think that 17 million ain't shit. You never know.

Yea just like the Nuggets i'm liking their TEAM. They're missing that superstar. I want to see how both of these teams play out though. You can win in this league without a star but you better have damn good coaching. Jerry Sloan was good enough to coach this squad. I don't know about this new coach they have.
Devin Harris plays a lot more reckless than Deron which is not a knock its just the type of game he plays. He plays at 100 mph the whole game. I sort of want to see how that meshes with Milsap and Jefferson.

He wants to make the nets the better nets. NY claims to be the best city in the world. Depending on who you ask alot people agree with that than disagree. He is taking his franchise to New York so if Dwight or anybody else want to play in NY or LA he will be in NY too. What's wrong with them trying to top the Knicks. If they come close, even, or better one day that is a good thing for the Nets franchise.
You look at the Baltimore Ravens they run their franchise like the Steelers do and they are slowly becoming a franchise that people say is run well and want to play for. That is what the Nets want to accomplish. They want to be in the class of the Knicks not the Clippers. The Mavs are who they will be in the short term if they can get a few more players to buy into the owner.
Favors will not be in the class of Deron Williams his entire career IMO. The NBA is a business and he wasn't playing much any way in NJ maybe in Utah he can turn into a good player. D Will is a superstar Favors isn't and probably never will so no harm no foul.
I got a feeling Phoenix about to make a move. I just have a feeling Steve Nash going to a contender. This Deron move shocked the shit out of me. I think we can expect some more surprises. This trade deadline shit is turning out to be more exciting than the free agency class everyone was geeked about.
Good trade for Utah. They weren't contenders anyway.
