Yeah that is because the software will recover everything that was ever on the drive. Data is never really erased, the space is just reallocated as free when you delete something. So recovered alot of stuff that was never overwritten.
hold on to the drive. dont fuck with it.
then pray for the next few weeks. then try pluggin it back in. i did that about 2 years ago. waited 6 months. then the drive worked and i quickly backed it up. it continued working for another few weeks before death took it away.

Im thinkin what dude said was he has access to more space than the drive capacity.
If that is the case you have to take into account some of the file descriptions (and sizes attributed) these types of software pull back up may just be ghost listings and not actual intact files.
I havent used RecoverMyFiles as GetMyDataBack has always done the job. But if they work the same way this is probably the situation.
SO YALL SAYING EVEN THOUGH I FORMATTED MY HD..THE FILES IS STILL THERE AND CAN BE SNATCHED UP AGAIN POSSIBLY? WHEN I PLUG MY DRIVE IN CPU RECOGNIZES IT BUT WHEN I TRY TO DRAG STUFF OFF OR PUT ON IT TAKES FOREVER......

Could be your mother board or Ram giving some problems cause if it was the drive you would of gotten info stating there is an error with the drive......
OR you can try this....... PRESS THE ON BUTTON ON THE MONITOR....
