At the end of the day the players have a job to do and go back to work. Everyone else in America has to work so it is no different.
Also Kyrie is being dumb because if the NBA season is not played they lose Billions in revenue. Forcing the league to redo contracts. For many players that are not Kyrie would be devastating

The biggest issue is the CBA. If the league lost billions more because of the season cancellation then that money will be recouped from the players.
Kyrie will always be alright because he will get his money regardless. For many other NBA players that paycut would be steep. That would be devastating for Tier 2 and lower players.
Or imagine you were in line for a Super max contract for 40 million a year just to have it cut down to 18 a year. You not starving but that would equal to almost 100 million Lost over five years. That is asking a lot of someone.
