Wade doesn't get enough props for how he handled that. He's an all-time great on his own and was still in his prime when Lebron got there and he understood that they couldn't win unless Lebron was the alpha dog. The first year Lebron was trying to be too much of a team player. He didn't know how to handle the situation against the Mavs. He was deferring too much. He felt like he came to Wade's team and was often planting in the corner watching Wade down the stretch. I remember Wade was yelling at him in game 6 about it. Wade specifically said he told Lebron that this was Lebron's team now (after the loss to the Mavs) and that's when they made the leap. He didn't teach Lebron how to win, but he definitely helped him make the final leap.

Those two years they won was some of the best basketball I've seen two guys play together. They were wrecking shop on both ends of the court.
they gonna KILL 'em
They won't kill then

They were injured

Lol naw don’t try that
Kwahi was seeing the same d as Steph being blitz at the key double teamed to get the balmlout there hands

Only one has a teammate that can score 60
Only one has two Allstars beside him
Only one is shut down defender

No player truly gets triple-teamed. The only player who I've seen it happen to was Shaq. You rarely even see double-teams. But definition, what you're really sending is help defenders being sent over. Double-teams implies the player has multiple players on him even when he doesn't have the ball. All they did was send help defenders over (at times) to keep Steph off his favorites spots on the floor. They often did the same thing to Kawhi...though not as often as they did it to Steph and they continued to do it with Steph because he never adjusted and attacked the scheme. If his 3 wasn't there, he was often just getting rid of it or tried to force the shot over the top of the defense. They were playing way too tight on Steph but that was because he wasn't driving. When he did drive, he got good midrange shots that he was hitting...he just didn't do it enough because he fell in love with the 3 ball...and he was OFF.

Truthfully, I don't get into that best player in the world shit.

I love skilled players doing their best.

I like great coaching and adjustments

That being said

There is no player that has gone to two different teams and has been to 8 straight finals. That same player gets diminished in favor of the player of the month.

If they actually had a decent team around him and role players who could shoot it would be even more apparent

The reason they can run two and three players at him is because nobody else can shoot besides Cook

People talk about shooters around Lebron, but Golden State could have used some outside of KD and Klay. I was thinking during the series that Nick Young would be of more use than McKinnie.

Lmbaooooo

A team with 3 of the best pure shooters of all time and with an all-star and defensive player of the year in Draymond, a multiple all-star in Boogie, and multiple all-defensive team in Iggy, a backup pg that shoots 41% from 3, and also needs more fucking shooters?!.A 73 win team added KD and Boogie and yall niggas still think they need more. Yall not satisfied with an all-star squad... yall want an Olympic team.

maybe they needed a big man like embiid too so they could spread the floor even more for the shooters? yall want the warriors to absolutely have the perfect team so there isn't a circumstance in which they could lose.

If not for the fluke injuries, this team might have waltzed to another title. They don't need more help.

I guess there does need to be an “Asterisk” with Toronto’s championship. Because your recollection on what “Actually” happened needs refreshing.

Because on paper, that Warriors lineup sounds GREAT!

KD - Played 11 minutes in the series before going down with a season ending injury.

Klay - Missed 1 game and left the last game with a season ending injury when he was playing his game of the series.

Boogie - Coming of a season ending injury, also a recent injury so he’s probably not even 60% of how good he was.

Iggy - Showed up big in some games but also wasn’t 100% due to a calf injury.

Draymond - Played very solid in games but also made many mistakes. Missed free throws, turnovers and defense wasn’t as good as advertised on occasion.

The Bench - Not seasoned and played nervous. Contributed some but couldn’t carry the load when asked to fill in for the injured players.

Again, their credentials sound “Great” on paper. The reality of the situation is actually a bit, “Different”.

i hope KD goes to BK

after the injury any remote chance that we had of signing him is done imo...I can’t fathom him sitting out a year rehabbing and then having to deal w/ a new team/city thereafter...I underestimated how tight-knit this warriors squad is

GTFOH. You didn't understand his response. He's not qualifying the injuries. He's saying, injuries aside, the team needs more shooters.

You're not going to have a team with Boogie, Curry, Klay, KD, Draymond, Iggy (and then Cook who is a great 3 point shooter) and then also have role players who can defend and also shoot too in a league where shooting is a premium. You're essentially asking for the Warriors by far the best starting 5 in the league and also have the perfect bench. Come on son.. if they didn't have the fluke injuries, they win easily... they shouldnt be able to have that type of starting five and also have the bench to survive losing KD and Klay and then also survive other injuries.

They would have swept Toronto if it wasnt for the injuries; Look how easy it was for them to score, those 12 mins kd played; mofo was on leg, him and boogie and klay and iggy; and Toronto couldnt do nothing with them....

This team didn't need more talent. They needed to avoid a crazy injury big. that's all... they already have an unfair amount of talent (and shooters)

they very tight knit; a lot of people have underestimated that....

I haven't. That's why I hate them muthafuckas. Why can't Klay have a fucking ego and want to do his own thing like Kyrie?!

Ironically, the way this went down might keep Durant there. He got the validation of everyone knowing that the Warriors can't win without him so he might not feel the need to go somewhere else and prove he can win "on his own".

No asterisk is needed ever!! You can go from 1980 until now, maybe further back; and every champion has benefited from all types of variables(injuries, calls, good fortune, etc etc) Everyone who has a brain knows GS would have won if they healthy; But Toronto did what they had to do. And they deserved to win, period....

:giggle: but the crazy thing is; Lets say Klay was fully healthy, and so was Iggy; and boogie didnt tear his quad at the beginning of the playoffs; them fools would have beat Toronto without KD:giggle:...

Yeah..shit happens...my team lost a finals like that on a fluke injury... but the idea that this team is flawed is silly... they just have ridiculously bad timing on injuries
