My mom lives in Canada, 15 minutes from the US border. The other day her and a friend were making a day trip to the US. When they got to the border a very annoyed CBP officer said "just go" and waved them through. No questions, no ID check, nothing.
Mind you, this is a small crossing connecting two relatively rural communities. Imagine what happens when this attitude reaches the San Diego/Tijuana crossing, if it hasn't already.
Also, Trump is a cancer that needs to be removed. It just sucks that you had to be part of the chemo. When the shutdown ends and things get back to normal I hope you can tell your grandkids how you sacrificed and stood up against tyranny.
Yeah man, morale is everything in law enforcement/security/military. You can't have people working to actually secure our borders/airports/ports of entry and not get paid. When you go to work feeling slighted mistakes can happen. Sometimes those mistakes can be catastrophic.
I just hope nothing bad happens.

But assuming we're able to survive one thing is absolutely certain.
No ONE person, I don't care if it the POTUS, should have the ability to fuck 10000s of people just because they can. Trump has exposed the flaws in this "checks and balances" system we have in place. He's shown what happens when you put an immoral person in charge that doesn't give a shit.
If we were in a less civilized country(and that's debatable) cats would have went up in the WH/these congressmen's homes by now and had a nice chat.
Truth be told these politicians don't FEAR the people. Which is why they so boldly do what they do without shame and regard and that's a big problem.
They don't FEAR you so they don't FEEL you.
So they take your lunch money, shit on your food, take your car, pee on your carpet and kick your dog on the way out.

She lives in California and her mortgage is $3,000. If this goes on for too much longer...You're blessed brother! Please direct your prayers to Allah and his messenger for the less fortunate in government right now!
And the problem with the government employees that have been furloughed, what will they do? The ones who have been working for free will have a check coming. But the people who have been furloughed, will they not get a check for a month because they haven't been working?

Yeah, I was torn about posting it because I know how black ppl respond to other black people on media, but I think she would have used the same language even if Pelosi was black. The phrase Miss Nancy was trending on twitter for a time last night.
She was on TV earlier this week as she won't get backpay for being off. Someone stepped in and paid her rent for three months.

No, I know. It's usually what kids are told to say so they don't disrespect adults calling them by their first name. I get called Miss Camille all the time. I hadn't thought about it before but there is this much, much older lady I work with, white hair, uses a walker. I call her Miss Linda, but I also have younger and older coworkers, black and white, who call me Miss Camille or Miss *my last name*.
