<<<N.Y.C Job Opportunity......>>>

Received a letter this week

Taking the test on saturday :dance::dance:

is this some common sense shit or did I need to study?

took the test yesterday, it was a lot of heads out there taking the test, young n old, the line was almost all the way around the school it was being held in. The lady who administered the test couldn't tell us how long it takes to get the results, anybody who took the test knows how long it takes to get the results back?

btw good looks to the OP :yes:

Same here. Thank you FlatbushNicca for making this thread. Well worth it!:)

Be aware if you take the that job you have to paid your dues like not having a life. Working crazy hours, weekends, holidays for at least 8 years or more. You will never have summer vacations or be off the the same time ( like spring break week, X mas week, etc) off to spend with your families, unless you have 20 years in title. When you take off sick, they can come to your house to see if you are really sick, have to go thru hell to get a day off. They have complete control of your life. You give up a lot but the worst is after you do all that time and if you make it to retire, most die within 3 years. To the fellow who said he sits for 4 hours and then get an 8 hour job. Guess what? You gave up 12 hours of your day. How do I know? I'm a former train operator with 11 year experience and 5 years as a conductor. I was a good opportunity but I wanted more. I missed out a lot of with my family. There is also very high divorce rate and you don't really get to know your kids because of this. It's a decent secure ( something really hard to find these days but you don't need one) job but you have to pay a big price. That why I started my own business and left it. People thought I was crazy but now I live where I want ( currently in Az.) in control of my life and make more money in a month (and making more by each week) than I make in year as a train operator and work a couple of hours a day on my computer in my underwear, taking breaks swimming in my pool and looking at porn (lol) unlit I make the magic number (about a billion dollars) and then buy a lot of assests that will pay me for the the rest of my life, kids, grandkids, fuck it forever like truly wealthy do. Sorry, I can't share on what I do but there are many opportunities out here. You might not believe this but there is too much money all there but you have to find it. This the best time to do it! Look at the Forbes richest people. Do all they do the same thing? I hate to say it but no job can ever cut it! What change my life was reading the book" Rich dad, Poor dad" and seek more knowledge to help me achieve my goals. That book woked me the fuck up! This job is an opportunity but it comes with a cost. All opportunities come with a price but you have to look at the reward. Please be aware, time is very valuable. I'm glad I found it out in my late thirties and now free in my early forties, it wasn't fucking easy. I worked my ass off get my freedom but it was worth it! . Again time is something you can never get it back, use it wisely. Good luck my brothers......

Congrats brother!!!!.........but!!!

you sound as if you got Fired!!! Seriously!! I get off when i need off.....if i dont get off....i take off!! they control your life in the beginning first year or two!!!

And the only way they come to your house....is if you abuse your Sick time(chronic sick without documentation).........vacation is senority based (per title)............why is it you can't say what is it you do now??

the job i really want is engineer for LIRR..... six figures easy!!

That was the case my brother. When I achieved my goals by learning, building my first business, matching and then surpassing my train operator's salary. I had to burn that bridge. I booked off sick for 30 + days straight (lol) with no documents( when I sold and purchase my home in Az and netted 150 k tax free, a nice going away present, lol) and then going to the union hall requesting that they fire me. I wrote a letter to the union explaining the decision I made( to protect that union rep. and he thought, I was crazy lol). This is all documented. When I left I had 11 years as a train operator and was working the extra list with f/s off. I was mostly working switching jobs if working at all because I was on the board most off the time. I had change from the secure zone to the unsecured zone to truly make that change in my life. I'm glad I made that decision but it was my choice. Do you know that you cannot create wealth working at any job? Because you trade time for money. When you are an employee you pay the most taxes and get fucked the most. Look was going on out there and it going to get worst, sorry to say. Read another book called Prophecy by Robert Kiyosaki. If you read that book (rich dad, poor dad) I suggested ,you will understand what I am talking about. I was stating the cons of that job. I understand you defending your profession. I used to do the same until I found another way. It not necessity a better way but the rewards ( really it can't compare) are way much better. It get better in time because I'm always seeking more knowledge how to be better. Now I have created another business in which there is no income cap, don't sell or need anyone to help me. I had to price a price to find my true calling, just like you have to not matter what you do in life. Man this game is so deep. Beyond my widest dreams! You have to seek the knowledge and decide for yourself. My mentors are Warren Buffet and the great George Soros ( a clue on what I do, lol) who made 3 billion dollars in 3 days doing what I do! I already clock pass my first million ( a couple of month ago and probably by the end of the year make my first billion. Crazy?! Why should I tell you what I do? With those big clues I gave you, and doing the research you will find out. Knowledge is earned, not given away and besides that it will never be taken serious that way. Man, I busted my ass to get where I am now and now enjoying the rewards. Please don't think I'm bragging, just giving insight that anyone can make a change if they truly want to. Its your choice and good luck with that LIRR job my brother.....

Understand my young brother. Think about what you said. First you are looking to get a job with the LIRR and then you stated a lot of former ex employees knocking the job. Fam., what you do think? Did I ever say it was a bad job? It is an good opportunity and just I stated the cons of it. As for the credit thing, you don't need good credit to get paid. Just a good idea and you run the fuck with it! You have a lot to learn my young brother with good credit (purchase a program called creating debt into wealth by John Cummuta to find out about credit, I don't agree with all he said but its great information.)and no kids (lol) and sorry to say no knowledge in the area of creating wealth. Please I don't mean to offend just making you and others aware. You can learn how if you want to. I am forever a student of making money and I invest plenty of money and most importantly time towards it. Good luck....

LIRR is the job i applied for before working for nyct
yea........good luck to you also!!

Luck: When preparation meet opportunity. So prepare yourself for all the opportunities and you too will have too much luck like I'm having. Good luck my brothers.....

nigga please:smh:

And that why you are where you are in life my brother. Bitter at life and others looking to uplift themselves. Now go ahead and protect your position in life. I could have broke it down on you and say I made more (and its doubles every month, lol) money in 1 month than you made in a year. This assuming you are a college grad. or have a good (whatever that means) job like a transit job (been there, done that) making 50-80k but I doubt it, lol. Then, you would say you don't believe or maybe fuck u. Losers: you can't help them no matter what you said to them. Winners: you can't never stop them no matter what you say to them. I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself because I set goals in my life and achieve them. Just providing advice I was ready to learn at the right time. Good luck. Peace on to you....

damn, i wonder why i seen another train operator class in training recently.......hmm!!!

for your information.........They dont usually freeze revenue producing jobs.......

Correct MTA is a revenue producing Job they never lay off unless the shit is real bad. Transit still ain't call me for the motormen's exam I passed like 4 yrs ago with a 90. Not like I need to the shit anyway but still

so what's the deal man? is it common sense shit or what? im wondering what kind of exam this is/

Its all common sense. They wanna make sure u can follow instructions correctly, and also make wise decisions. Its like a pre-interview. Easy, with a couple tricky questions...

Aye Flatbush.
They send me a letter yesterday talking about I am qualified and I am in group 000.
what does that mean?

If push come to shove I'm going to have to make a decision.

MTA or My Trucking company.

True, but two years ago I went from 3 vehicles back to 1 because of drivers getting tickets and me not being able to get a loan to cover weekly expenses/pay.
I do everything myself now and just contract the big jobs out but I deal with brokers and they wont give me certain jobs unless they know I'm the driver.
shit is frustrating.

I'm on a net 30 days with most of my customers so I wont see a check a month from now for jobs that cost me gas + toll + helper everyday.

Health benefits is killing me thou, I went for a yearly check up last week and the doctor damn near charged me $400 for blood test and what's not.

Well they called and I went to take the drug test and pre-interview today.
Sucks because I just bought a new truck 3 weeks ago and am now doing work for apple.

But I paid a fee for this test so I'll try the job and see how I can juggle both, if not ill just go back and focus 100% on My trucking Co.

Doing it moreso for the benefits.
Owner of one of the trucking co I'm contracted with his wife had an aneurism, needed surgery on her brain and her hospital bill is almost $200K.

What position for transit did you get called for? if you can juggle both I say do it... if not then fuck it..

if anything you do take the job then just hire 3 drivers who clean driving records to drive for you.

be honest and tell people this is a bullshit job. the money is good but we are dying slowly down here. dudes dropping like flies from breathing all these toxins. then this jobs takes away from your family life and if u want to go to college there is no reimbursement. yea the pay is good for a HS diploma but when you have that 12-9 or signal overrun and out for months or terminated and or demoted what job skills have you learn along with ur 87k?
