Brooklyn rapper Desiigner, whose viral hit, "Panda," broke the Top 10, making a huge leap to No. 5. That's likely due, in part, to the fact that this week's history-making Billboard 200 chart leader, Kanye West's The Life of Pablo, is now streaming everywhere. "Panda" is heavily sampled on Kanye's "Pt 2" and appears to be the breakout hit from Pablo despite being its own separate song. (Only Pablo's "Famous" and "Father Stretch My Hands" have charted so far, at No. 34 and 37, respectively.)

Desiigner is also the newest signee to Kanye's label, G.O.O.D. Music, so prepare to think you're listening to Future a lot more than you actually are over the coming months.

he's been making his rounds in the strip club appearances in ny

well you know something

that young mind is on his grind found a lane (which was comfortably occupied by Future) and said can I just follow you?

and is getting PAID.

Good for him, the culture not so much.

But perhaps being around Ye and them he can find his OWN identity.

When I first heard It I swore he was a british rapper trying to sound like future. I had to google him only to find out he's from BK. I was excited at first because eI thought a British rapper finally broke through into the US mainstream.:smh:

I've heard the song played in one of the clubs here but I'm curious if he has performed in Atlanta yet.

They were clowning the song last week on the radio here too and that was the only time I've heard the song played on the radio here (except for the clubs radio broadcast).

Dude has successfully emulated Future and is making a come up which I can't knock.

I wonder who will be the next east coast cat to style the south's style and make a come up.

Dude even hinting at a purple rain mixtape. If Future don't come smack the shit out of him

Nothing new. T-Pain spawned a whole hell of a lot of auto-tuned records. Kanye's sped up soul samples was copied by damn near every producer. DJ Mustard and Timbaland had their mimics. Whenever anything charts or hits big, you have thirsty artists willing to copy their steez bankrolled by rich CAC who look to capitalize. This is groundhog day.

go check out that club appearance thread this is what independant artist are aiming for..this track was made for the stripclub..play this beat and broads can shake their asses to it..get enough strip club circuit credit next thing u kno u making appearances..like i said b4 u can get at least 3-4 appearances per club a yr... first appearance while ur single hot, 2nd appearance for ur bday, 3rd appearance if ur single do numbers the gold/plat appearance..if u decide to release an albulm/mixtape the albulm release party appearance..as the wayan bros use to say in living color mo money mo money:money::money::money:

White tweens LOVE this song and the Pop stations play it every hour. Panda will probably replace Rihanna at #1 on the Hot 100 as soon as next week. Definitely as soon as the official video is released.

Basically. The music industry has always been driven by revenue, not creativity, artistic expression, or talent. It is a money-generating venture that was run by the labels dictating to the masses. Now, the artists have gotten hip to the game and now our crafting records strategically that allows for them to get paid. On a business level, not mad. As a fan of good music, it sucks, but all-in-all, like I said, this isn't anything new.
