Far as I know there hasn't been any report of the killer ever having a diagnosed mental illness, let alone being denied treatment.

Even if he did it doesn't mean the illness had anything to do with the killing. Folks don't off a whole room of peers over Tourette Syndrome or ADHD. Being denied medication rarely makes a schizophrenic turn violent.
