Sweet justice(Tubi)

Saw this movie Saturday night. And I thought it ws a decent movie. Its an indepenent film, so the acting was as usual. Not that good, but the story was good enough. To keep you entertained. I would recommend this movie.

Sister of Wrath(Tubi)

Saw this movie Saturday also. This is a revenge/action/comedy film. Let me tell you this a wild ass film. No dude gay acts, but some characters were acting either suspect or flamming. But other than that, theres gun toting nuns, lesbians, and exaggerated blood splatter.

I thought this was a fun movie to watch. To me this came off as a modern grindhouse film. I would definately recommend this movie.

Man let me put my cape on and save Reagan Gomez beautiful ass...

BTW: This movie looks good.

Finally got around to watching this last night.

It was a high rank movie for some time on Netflix…I have no idea why cuz this is definitely a crappy film.

It’s supposed to an action film that falls flat on action.

It’s basically a slick looking, straight to DVD type movie you can find on tubi.

Chris Hensworth (MCU Thor) has a small cameo. I didn’t understand why he was in the film. I looked it up and he is a co-producer and the lead actress is his wife.

That pretty much explains this mess.

There is a mid-credit scene which has no point.

For the InCells, the lead star who is a woman does a number of things that will disturb and offend you.

Watch if you just need something to watch to kill a hour and a half….otherwise pass.

Synopsis

One Army captain is forced use her years of tactical training and military expertise when a simultaneous coordinated attack threatens the remote missile interceptor station of which she is in command.

You guys know I don't really do trailers, so I never really paid attention other than it being January and wanting something to watch. IMO the trailer is a little bit of a spoiler.

But his movie was a pleasant surprise. Iit's enjoyable and funny and only an hour and a half. I had a lot more fun than I thought I would. It was also a good theater movie like Violent Night.

There's supposed to be an unedited version for streaming I believe. I can't wait to see that, because that's one thing it was missing...a R rating.

The 2023 films we're are most excited about

Killers of the Flower Moon

. Sending Martin Scorsese and his first-rate artisans to the Great Plains with $200m to recreate the bloody boomtowns of early 1920s Oklahoma is a tantalizing prospect on its own. But in David Grann’s book about the murders of Osage people made rich on the oil deposits beneath their tribal land, Scorsese has the perfect narrative backbone for a uniquely American story of greed, violence and white supremacy. Add to that his first film with both Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, his leading men in different eras of his career, and supporting players that include Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser and Lily Gladstone, and there’s just no better reason to burn through Apple’s money. (Giving Scorsese all the cash he wants to make movies should be a federal requirement for streaming platforms.)

Looking forward to this one too.

My mom emailed me a year or two back and said it's definitely one to keep on the radar. The book club she's a part of read it some years ago & everyone thought it was very good.

Cutthroat City (2020) ( hurry it goes off Netflix January 19th, 2023)

Great cast, directed by RZA. The cast includes Shamik Moore, T.I., Kat Graham, that fake ass 2Pac-Looking dude Demetrius Shipp, Isaiah washington, Terrence Howard, Ethan Hawke and Rob Morgan (Luke Cage).

45 minutes to go and really good writing. It's rated 4.9 on IMDb, but they have a long history of rating any black movie poorly

It takes place post Katrina 2005 New Orleans . Interesting facts that were included in this movie, in 1927 the great flood of Mississippi the levees were intentionally dynamited with hopes of saving the richer areas, sacrificed the poor black people in that area who were pushed out of their homes. Sound familiar

Solid 7.5, maybe 8. Trying to be careful. Solid Direction and filming. Does not look low budget at all, so it watches real well so far. Last 40 minutes let's go

Just saw these; may be 3 most recent flicks other than some old favorites - The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) in particular - that I’ve seen

another deeper dive into the best (and as expected most challenging of the 3) —

was it that bad?

If it was straight to streaming I would have stopped watching it 15 minutes in. The fake Full Force with Rotimi and Manboy was so fucking bad :smh:

and the only reason I stayed was because I went to a dinner theater and we had to wait for the check. It was only about 20 more minutes in the movie. One couple didn't even wait, I don't know if they skipped out on the check or paid when they left.

I laughed more at how stupid some of the scenes and writing were than the actual movie. The writing was so bad an unfunny. I have a hard time believing all of the IG celebs and the rappers/actors and Lebron watched this movie at the premier and were happy with the product they released to the public. That shit was cringe embarrassing. I am embarrassed for them. I guess it's cool for Anthony Davis and Tristan Thompson just to say they were in a movie.

I'm sure Kid N Play watched this shit and :smh:
