How is it a dumb comparison? Your statement is that the two women could have avoided the situation, right?
Well there have been plenty of situations where people could have "avoided" being shot or killed?
So once again I ask. Is it just that simple to you when black men are shot and/or killed by cops?
The women had an issue with their order or whatever, the employees let them in (even tho the lobby was closed) to fix whatever the issue was. If it couldn't be fixed the women could have asked for their money back if they had already paid or simply left and gone somewhere else if they hadn't paid and the issue couldn't be fixed. But once they made the decision to go behind the counter they opened themselves up for whatever happened next. Now throwing hot water on them was more than likely overboard, but I haven't checked to see if there was sound on the video, so I have no idea if they women were issuing threats etc.
If the worker had thrown the hot water over the counter at the women, your question maybe somewhat valid but that's not what happened. So it's a bs question.
My question is very valid. Your point isn't that it wasn't an unprovoked response. Your point was that the two could have avoided the situation like you're avoiding answer my question.
My point is that even though someone may have been able to avoid such situation doesn't mean any ole response is justified.

All the "who's at fault" aside, I drove past a Taco Bell today and the drive-thru was packed. This is good advertising. Not going to lie, I seriously thought about getting some today but I was still stressing from my doctor's visit. I'm scared y'all. Like really, really scared.

Let's be real here. Karen-osity isn't limited to white women. These women were probably on some "lemme get a #1, extra tomatoes, no sour cream, light lettuce, and let me get a crunchwrap with no beans, no second layer, don't wrap it, and extra cheese." If someone is just ordering the shit off the menu, there is no way the order is getting fucked up. Give me 5 minutes to get a rhythm and their equipment, and I'll pump out a consistent tacos for the rest of the day.
I don't know how many people worked in the food industry, but my friends that did/do hate the fucking assbag that has to make all the substitutions, because they know whatever the person is picturing isn't what they asked for.

High medical bills make a case and being burned with boiling water generates high medical bills. The two victims claim they then tried to run out of the Taco Bell, screaming -- but the door had been locked. While they were trying to unlock the door, the suit states, the manager came back with a second bucket of boiling water to throw on them, but the two were able to escape beforehand.
The suit says the two victims ran to their car and C.T. began taking off her clothes to try and minimize the burning, while her mother began having seizures due to the trauma.
Thanks for highlighting it. I read that. If you look earlier in the thread, I commented on how it conveniently left out the ladies going behind the counter.
I believe it was @shaddyvillethug that commented on why they let the customers in and locked the door. We've done that in retail so people don't think the store is still open and try to come in. That statement is written as if the ladies were ordering a doritios taco and the manager came out of nowhere and just threw water on them. You don't need to be involved in a conversation to hear what the heck is going on.

It will never see a jury and taco bell will pay a nice little sum. Even though they were wrong, it can be argued that throwing boiling water on them was too much. There will be very high medical bills and taco bell won't want to risk a trial, neither will Crump. It will make a nice little legal fee...I promise the pics are going to be FUCKED UP.....
