It said in the statement that the door was locked...the same statement that neglected to mention these two ladies going being the counter. So...grain of salt?
I looked at this topic on Twitter, and people are believing that the workers threw water on the customers unprovoked.

Now look at your recap of the story it’s exactly what the chicks claimed in the lawsuit.. now peep the vid and than see how the manager reacted and than went back for seconds and followed the chicks after they were fleeing after getting burned.. literally the fact that the manager was extra aggressive after the chicks retreated can be used against the biz and entitl the chicks to some money.. the first splash they might could’ve got away with on self defense but that second one might due them in.. people have won lawsuits off of technicalities such as that

If you just look at the BS lawsuit without the video, most would come to the conclusion that the Taco Bell manager was at fault. But we clearly see in the video that they went behind the counter. Once that happens, all bets are off. Self defense.

It’s not. Definitely shouldn’t get hot water thrown on them. It’s not a justifiable response. The manager should be criminally charged and the establishment should be sued.
That being said, they need to learn to control themselves. I do my best to no let my emotions cause me to make a rash decision.
I sympathize with fast food workers. They are providing a service to a lot of people daily. Yes, many chose that job route, but mistakes happen. Be cool, be courteous, stay calm, and if the establishment doesn’t correct it or you don’t get your money back, then don’t go back.
