Right, after the gunners McGinnis and Free left all they did was put together a fine defensive team that had only 6 or 7 men average double-figures for the season and shoot lights-out every night. Jones, Mix, and Cheeks were fabulous (if modest) shooters. Shit, Mix averaged 11 PPG in just 19 MPG one year. Toney was no slouch either. They spread the points around. Erving had a FABULOUS team behind him before Moses arrived.

The playoffs are just a brief sample of a particular season. We're talking about the overall product and Erving's OVERALL career, including all of his regular seasons.
The playoff results are AFTER the fact. We're talking about the quality of personnel during the year and going into the playoffs, and not how they happened to be used and how they performed in a few short series.

Free average 16.3 a game the year the went to the finals and Carter only played 14 games with the sixers that season. Mid season would be 41.

If your dumbass is still breathing I must be Ein-fukking-stein! Doug Collins was a lifetime 17.9ppg scorer. His best being 20. and his worst being 12. per game. That is a role player. A lot of cats make the all star team when other players are hurt. Doug was a good player but not great. As for Mcginnis, he went down hill every season he was with the sixers and was never what was expected when we game over from the pacers. He refused to be a team player when Doc got there and was shipped out 2 seasons later. Fred Carter, I can't believe you even brought him into the conversation, only played 14 games with Doc. Free in his 3 season with the sixer avrage 8.3, 16.3 & 15.7. He didn't average more than 20 ppg until the next season when he went to the Clippers. Check your fukking facts first, dickless. BTW Free was not an all star with the sixers!!
