MODS: Why would my access be prohibited from a thread?

I don't know anything about the OP beyond the posts I've read.

As for this watch list, it's something I've assumed since day one. To date though no mods have ever sent me any warnings, removed my posts, etc. Likewise, I have never complained to the mods about any BGOL members. It's easier just to block.

I agree with the lets have as much freedom of speech as possible, but on a site dedicated to sisters, to blatantly disrespect one, when it was uncalled for, is crossing the line...

I dont really have a problem with dude, but he needed a lil break..

to say shut up or get the fuck outta here is one thing, but to say what he said in that tone in which he said it was something someone with sexual issues have..

how you gonna go hard on the chick, but be all polite with the dudes

thats kind of suspect...

You a damn lie.

I had a Black great grandmother and I suspect that some of the non-anglo whites in my family have Black roots as well. That said I also have blue eyes, grew up in a mostly white community. Anyone who meets me thinks "white" as soon as they lay eyes on me. Claiming anything else would be foolish.

I was speaking in general terms and never actually read the original post. I assumed the removal had something to do with his right-wing leanings. If that were the case it would be unfortunate. One of the best thing about this board is its diversity of opinion.

He got banned for calling someone some language that is against the forum rules. Not sure what he called the guy because his post was edited.

More than likely some ape type shit. The hand shit should be mandatory. I'm sure if a black person was to troll stormfront the mods would give up ip's /personal info/email etc quick.

But we have to deal with these damn trolls. That's why some old heads bounced. That blunt shit damn near killed this site. And if shit don't change more old heads will leave.

Like I said in another thread, politics is like a dog whistle for these racist whites posing as black men on BGOL. They'll be happy to "blend in" but they just can't help themselves when it comes to politics. Their sleeper cell becomes activated and they come out of character.

Remember whiteboyTX? He was playing the stereotypical redneck incest character. Once Obama got elected he became a full blown white supremacist . It wasn't even a subtle transition. He literally lost his mind.

That's how a lot of them feel. Happy to slum it with us but once we get into positions of power, it's too much for them to take. If we're not in a position of subservience, they're mad uncomfortable.

Okay, now I can cosign it.

Even trolls need to understand the basic rule of "think first, post second"

What are your top three pieces of advice to black people... as a white man?

What are your top three pieced of advice to white people... as a white man who "likes" black people.

This is some of the advice I give my children.

1) If any of your white friends ever say "I'm not racist, some of my best friends are Black." They are not a real friend. Cut them off before they drag you down

2) Whenever someone tells you to pull yourself up by your bootstraps always remember that in less than 100 years African Americans went from being slaves to becoming one of the most prosperous peoples in the world with almost no help at all. Black people and Black culture are NOT the problem.

3) The best way to limit the effects of systematic racism is to start your own business. That way you can never be fired, denied promotions or raises because of your skin.

For white people

1) White rights are the same as Black rights. Fight for your own and you'll fight alone. Fight for Blacks and they'll have your back.

2) Never, never, NEVER use the N-word unless you want to piss off and alienate the wrong people. The context doesn't matter, "permission" doesn't matter, the "unfairness" of it doesn't matter. This is one sacred cow you don't want to tip.

3) Whatever crisis you're going through you probably know a Black person who's gone through it worse. Learn how they got through and apply that knowledge to your own situation. Be willing to lend a helping hand in return.

"Of course"

U rubbed it in our faces?

Did u call somebody a nigga

Or was u rapping a song with nigga?

I say "Of course" because practically every white person has said that word at some point(s). Racism is as much a part of our culture as speaking English is.

To answer your next two questions, Yes. I am not proud of it and certainly wouldn't do it now, but it was one of the many mistakes I made in becoming the man I am today.

Do I think I am Black? That's the question I've been wrestling with my whole life.

In Canada I was told that my small amount of Black DNA didn't matter. When I moved to the United States many Black people would ask "I know you're white, but what else are you?" Things got even more confusing when I met my wife's relatives and realized that they didn't look much different from my "white" aunts and uncles. At Santa Rita County Jail I wasn't allowed at the Black or white tables and had to eat with the "others" even though my police report lists me as "white".

Around this time my dad told me about the bigotry he faced growing up in an all white town. He moved at an early age and decided not to tell anyone. People assumed he was white and so he became white. Because he and mom were white my siblings and I were white too.

So on one hand I look white, have mostly white DNA, was raised in white culture, and enjoy the same relative benefits that other whites receive. On the other hand that only happened because of my dad's "passing". I also know that if I had been born about 30 miles south my life would be a lot different than what it is today.

As for your other questions,

Any time I used the word it was either to gain favor with a certain group of people, insult a Black person in the worst way I knew how, or to quote someone else. Whatever the context I used the standard white justifications. "There's no Black people around", "s/he said it was okay", "s/he called me a name too", "s/he said it first", etc. This arrogant reasoning made me lose friends, embarrass myself, get my ass kicked and worst of all, deeply hurt and betrayed some good people who thought I wasn't "like that". I felt cheap, petty and rotten and still feel ashamed to this day. I vowed not to do it again and haven't in many years.

Keep your questions coming. They have forced me to do some much needed soul searching.

Who told you, you was black?

Is this something u learned?

How do u feel when u watch roots?

Do u know who Fred Hampton is?

So if u think u are black with blue eyes, why when u say nigga, u feel a vibe that u don't want?

Why do u need to say that word when no niggas are around?

What are u saying nigga for around yo CAC friends?

Do your friends say niggas first and then u cosigned

I ain't gon front, one of my dealers has a white homeboy who he grew up with and all his friends are black.(muh younger than me) and they "let" him use the nigga word like a blak person

I had to leave immediately before 10,000 years of animosity would have came out.

So I know exactly what kind of white boy you are or portray to be.

My eye is all on you.

One slip up and it's bye bye

Occasionally some Black people have told me it was okay to use the word around them. I refuse in order to avoid the exact situation you encountered with your dealer's friend. Even worse I could be overheard by a CAC who will assume they can get away with it too. That's a needlessly bad look for everyone involved.

Nobody ever told me I was Black, but it has been implied. For instance, some Black people get upset when I mention whites in the first person or "talk white". I normally keep my hair short, but when it grows out they are quick to point out the kitchen on my neck or the naps on my temples. Same thing happens when I tan in the summer.

For your other questions, I have never been the first person to use the word in front of another white. When i used it in conversation it became kind of a taboo secret that we both shared. It was a bonding moment that made me feel accepted. Kind of like a school kid telling a really dirty joke. The vibe never sat well because I knew deep down the joke was really on me.

Never saw Roots, but I read the book. The part that bothered me most was how George was Tom's friend when he was making money, but became property when he lost the cock fight.

I know Fred Hampton was a Panther that was murdered by the police. That's about it.
