Today is the 30th anniversary of the Million Man March. Do you think anything has changed since then? Has the Black community advanced or are things still the same?

Or… does anyone care?

The world has undergone significant changes over the past three decades. While progress has been made, the black community has also made notable advancements. Some may argue the direction of these advancements, but nonetheless, progress has been made.

I agree. Thank you, brethren.

What was the experience like for you? I remember staying home and watching it on BET.
I remember being in the middle of the crowd staying in the same place for all of the speeches; I regret that. I should have walking around talking to people and seeing the people. & I still have pictures from that event that I never got developed, I wonder if they are still good. Yeah, it was amazing coming up from the DC Metro seeing all of the Black folks, seeing all of the Black males. It had a different energy than day to day Black folks in DC; that day had a special energy. Lastly, I was standing there in one spot for like seven hours and didn't have to go to bathroom once; in hindsight, that was amazing.

I’m sure you can still get those pictures developed.

I thought it was an awesome day. Just seeing all the brothers come together was a beautiful thing to see.

Yeah, man, it was good day, better than Ice Cube's. I should look to get them developed; I don't what has taken me so long.

I ws in middle school for the first event, but did attend the 2nd march.....

The 100 Black Men of DC was formed after this event and has been going strong ever since.....

This is the kind of unity we need NOW, but unfortuantly we have too many coons, folks who hate being black, and too much division amongst us...
