Thanks for saying this. We opened Pandora's Box and now it's no longer about the music. People have the actually live out the character they created. Eventually the artist are more the character than they are themselves and they flip out like Kayne West once they realize they aren't themselves anymore. Just a character.
We dis guarded intelligence for ignorance. We got caught up with being the hardest motherfucker on the block and instead of the smartest motherfucker period. The worst part is that we taught our youth the worst parts of being a black person and made it acceptable. We gave them hate instead of hope. We told him it was ok to kill your fellow blackman in the pursuit of money.
Gangsta rap no matter which coast it is from was the worst thing the happen to blacks since crack. You niggahs arguing over which coast is better or started that shit is pointless. It's like niggahs fighting over a sinking boat, who the fuck cares how it happened, the most important thing is to get the boat sailing again.
To anyone under 25 who is smart enough to listen. We as a generation were wrong for glorifying, buying, promoting, and trying to live that shit. Do something better with your life. The world is not all about doom and gloom. You as a black man CAN control your own fate and make something good out of life.
If your going to sell drugs and hustle, do it with some sort of honor or morals and not like the cutthroat savage these assholes tell you to be. The world was a better place for black people before gansta rap, too bad you youngsters weren't around for it.
