Young, black and rich is what people hate the most about Floyd. Shit, a lot of black people also hate to see it, which is a damn shame. Let be real with this situation for once, and tell the real story because it sure in the hell don't have anything to do with boxing. Its about "Having somebody putting this boy(ni%%er) in this place."

Re: if i was 5o yrs younger i'd kick ur ass

i started to read through the post but i changed my mind.

I think a saw what i was thinking on the second or third page.

It was a fair sucker punch. This nigga has no class.

you my friend are a dumb ass. Cant be a fair sucker punch. Boxers who are critical of mayweather are even saying it was a clean knock out. Learn the sport before you open your mouth.

Its actually amazing how many dickriders this dude has

He aint giving up none of that check niggas :smh:

I could care less one way or another but that was a sucker punch

Yeah it was "fair" but still a sucker punch

Period

I really hope niggas like you are just kidding with comments like this..I hope there are not that many people in the world serious with this bullshit. Floyd would have been well within his rights to grab the stool out of the corner and crack it over the back of Ortizs' neck. Once a man is endangered in an illegal fashion why would he ever be criticized for not showing any sportsmanship that is not mandatory to the person that endangered him? Fuck is wrong with you dudes? Shit, Floyd was more of a gentleman than necessary, he allowed the first hug and kiss, how much would it take to satisfy the people that hate Mayweather..oh I know.. only one thing, if he was to lose. Shit he even told Larry to go ahead and interview Ortiz..without curse words..but no Larry had to continue with shit so he got what he deserved for years of disrespecting Floyd because he hasn't fought his favorite fighter (Pac)..oh but now what does everybody have to say..a person that has been a participant in the most dangerous sport around since he was a teenager, is now not only afraid of Manny..he's afraid of questions about Manny too..God help these niggas

Re: that some bullshit!!!!!

I know you are suppose to protect yourself at all times and the fight was back on, however Floyd knew the man hands were down and he was apologizing. He did the same thing to Shane Mosely.

I would have preferred to see this fight finish in a decision than in a KO when the man was obviously apologizing for a dirty head butt.

Was it wrong, no, was it unsportsman like yes.
It is boxing. This ain't no kiss and hug session. Floyd did what our fathers taught us which is be the first to the punch.

Maybe if he had fought someone (Pac) who has had more than ONE fight at welterweight (another blown up fighter) folks would give him the respect HE thinks he deserves. People root for his opponents because they're little people.
Are you being sarcastic?
I could have swore I just saw him fight somebody that was an inch taller, 10 yrs younger, and 14lbs heavier at fight time..not to mention a world champion..but he can only get respect if he fights a dude that's 5'6 on a good day? Pac is my favorite fighter, but I guarantee that everybody that thinks he will kill Floyd will all of a sudden start talking about how small he is if he loses, and that if Floyd was really a great fighter, he would fight Sergio Martinez

They will never be satisfied until someone knocks him out.
Then they will say:lol::lol:I knew he was a bum.:smh:

They're saying that because it was LEGAL, not because it wasn't a bitch move.

Not really. I give him credit for the Shane fight even though Shane overtrained. Shane almost knocked him the fuck out. The first time he fights a fighter with the same physical talents he almost gets knocked the fuck out? He barely won against Oscar (another person who can match his physical talents). All the knockouts were against smaller fighters. Hell, Ortiz was shorter, had 2 inch reach disadvantage, only had one fight at welterweight previously and Floyd had to sucker punch his ass. Floyd is the best Lightweight ever...Welterweight? Hardly.....

1) Victor Ortiz is 2 inches taller (5'9 to 5'7)...14 lbs heavier and he fought a bigger/stronger fighter than Floyd and won. Plus he was the 147 lbs champion
2) Shane Mosley overtrained? Okay...
3) De La Hoya picked the gloves, ring was 15 lbs heavier and was 3 inches tallker
4) What was the weight he fought Oscar at? Thats right - 154 lbs. What was the weight Manny fought Margarito at for the same title? 150 lbs...

Now....Floyd getting knocked out is just haters twisting the story. Floyd got hit with one two solid punches in the entire fight. One was simply a great punch, Floyd took it, held his arm, and then fought back. The other one he got caught swinging, regained his balance and kept firing. He pitched an 11-1 shutout against someone with the same physical talents as him.

You do know that there are posters on here who actually watch boxing and know your post was nothing but BS right?

The fact that he said he barley won against Oscar:lol::lol:says he smoking some good shit.

This is where Ortiz got his game plan from

:lol::lol::lol:

Exactly how I felt... sometimes either the energy isnt there, or the ignorance is just so deep i figure dude gotta be trolling.

Naw I can't front son that was a close ass fight and Oscar actually won on one judge's scorecard with the other two scoring it 115-113. He definitely could have lost that fight.

No doubt.

I can understand people not liking and criticizing Floyd for his attitude and behavior because I feel the same way.

The only problem I have is when people allow those emotions to cloud their judgement when it comes to his boxing skills and career.

No matter how much he irks me outside the ring I can't front on what he does in the ring. In that ring he's genius and to deny that and to keep making excuses to take it away from him is ridiculous.

Dude Osar was hitting mostly glove in that fight but was getting tagged by Mayweather punches. Oscar was throwing mostly wasteful punches that look good (but aint doing shit). The same thing Ortiz was doing in the corner. Nothing close about that.

My man I'm talking fact.

Oscar won on one judges score card, and the other two had it 115-113. If that isn't on the verge of losing I don't know what is. IF the two who gave it to Floyd were to score one round different its a tie on their cards, you get no closer than that.

Oscar may have been missing punches but sometimes that shit excites the crowd and looks good. That steals rounds. In the first few rounds when Oscar was throwing shit but missing Floyd wasn't doing anything to really off set it so he lost those rounds. A lot of fighters win rounds simply off of activity, especially when the opponent isn't really being active.

Floyd won that fight in the final rounds, trust me going into the 10th that shit was close.

Fight Pac or shut the f**k up. That's where he is....everything else is just bullshit. Peace.

True. Once DLh stopped popping the jab from the 6th or 7th round on, the fight changed. He was winning going into the 8th round. Floyd was uncharacteristically mushed up a bit on the face after that fight from eating so many jabs.

Maybe I just don't get it, but...we as people get up everyday to go to work in order to have homes, cars & other worldly possessions & ALL of us at some point blow our money in a ridiculous fashion. Now let someone question how you spend your money and you're gonna wonder why they are counting your pockets, yet A LOT of people have something to say about what Floyd does with his.

Bottom line, like it or not his talent is whoopin folks ass and he gets paid great from it, so if he wants to burn all the money he make, so what...its HIS and he has every right.

I swear we are overly critical and judge folks for the wrong stuff.

He's a coon. A walking, talking minstrel and any attempt to celebrate his "greatness" is an endorsement of said coon.

Bullshit.

There are plenty of assholes throughout history who have been assholes, racists, coons, etc. and we've still celebrated their greatness as athletes.

Michael Jordan was famous for being an asshole during his playing days (and some say still). He's still the greatest ever.

Mickey Mantle was known to and admitted to treating fans like shit before and after his playing days. He's still one of the greatest ever.

Who has been more coonish and brash than Dion Sanders? Yet he was still inducted to the HOF.

Floyd is an asshole. As a person I found duke and his behavior deplorable. As an athlete, as a boxer, he's a future HOF'er and a great fighter. You can't take that from him unless you just straight up want to hate.

Lets hear from people who have been in there and can talk about it.Here are some thoughts from other boxers via Twitter:
