Re: Mayweather vs. Ortiz: Sucker punch or fair play?

How do you sucker punch someone in a boxing match? That's got to be the most stupid shit i've ever heard. Ortiz either threw that fight for he's a idiot. I hope he threw the fight. Nobody can be that stupid. He let Mayweather intimidate the shit out of him. Apologizing to him for a headbutt. Fuck that. Do that shit after that fight.

ref said fight on:yes:, they touched gloves and Floyd jabbed him:D and Ortiz is watching the ref to save him:hmm:, Floyd knocks his dumb-ass out with the next punch:lol:!

Why didn't Ortiz block after the first jab from Floyd? (gotta protect yourself! this is boxing young man)

All that crying to the Ref about Floyd uses his elbow and he turns around and head butts Floyd :smh:

I'm angry to see the fight end like this, but I'm more angry that Ortiz didn't get up from that punch.
Really makes me wonder if this was fixed, seems like W.W.F

i agree with you 100% ..and alot of these folks running around here crying about fair play would get murked in a street fight.

Wow. That was some classless shit. But that that is pbf. I was sure the ref was giving instructions to the judges and he didnt instruct the fighters to commence with the fight. Oh well. It was funny though. But only funny cause pbf just finds new ways to reinforce that notion he has no class. Oh well. I am sure he will give victor another shot. Cause like I said before. Pbf only fights people he knows he can beat.

There is so much wrong with boxing. Tonight I am kind of embarrassed to be a fan.

Re: if i was 5o yrs younger i'd kick ur ass

the head butt was dirty.

The SUCKER PUNCH was dirty but within the rules.

You should protect yourself at all times.

floyd had his gloves up ready to fight, who goes in for a hug from someone with their sets up? btw funny how you didnt post the head butt

Ortiz.

Something's not quite right with the guy. I'm not saying that to be funny, but you can tell he's got some serious issues. He quit/majorly bitched out in one fight, and then got all emotional and wanted to become best friends with Mayweather in this fight.

Dude's off. :smh:

Ortiz blatantly head butted him and while it wasn't necessarily the most sportsmanlike act what Mayweather did was completely legal.I didn't see the full interview but based on the Youtube clip Mayweather caught feelings like a bitch with Merchant.

I think Ortiz was just feeling mad guilty for that dirty head butt, you know like when you know you fucked up you apologize a bunch of times?

Re: if i was 5o yrs younger i'd kick ur ass

it was dirty but in the rules? How does that make sense?

Ortiz should of protected himself at all times. However PBF was going with the apology and took a fast swing on Ortiz. It was a dirty move by Floyd but within the rules.

Re: FINALLY Someone Goes In On Larry Merchant!!!

i love ya'll niggas who dont agree with certain perspectives want to say a person dont know shit. floyd was out of line he only did that shit to avoid the pac question. he ducked all the mans questions then when he felt it was going to pacquio he said let me do some ignant shit to get out of here.

BINGO:yes:

First there is no Paq question, Paq needs to take the test and it's just that simple.

Floyd was a bit out of line but what he said needed to be said but probably without telling him that he wasn't shit. Merchant is smug and cuts fighters off if they don't answer his question directly the first time.

Look..I would have loved to see that joint go a few more rounds. He had mayweather in a tab bit of pressure. But Mayweather was giving him that straight right all night long. He could not miss. If you watch the whole thing...ortiz pulled a Fight Night head butt (which he knew was illegal) then came back with a left, while Mayweather was blocking and looking at the ref - He knew he got overzealous and wanted to apologize but - the ref clapped his hands and said fight after deducting a point. Mayweather knew he (Mayweather) was bleeding (and that dragon came out - dude was pissed).

I know he did the same thing to Gotti and Mosley but the problem here was that Mayweather was not allowing another Juda. He said fuck it..I'm giving you a hook off whatever you want to call this - hug/love clench.

Most folks are mad cause they wanted to see the fight go longer (like me)...but when you headbutt like that..either your ear is coming off or you are getting a left hook. Chose one....

In the full interview... Merchant was on attack mode like 'why did you fight so dirty' when he talked to Floyd, but he was on some 'oh, you shouldn't be sorry about what you did shit' to Ortiz. Classic Merchant.

fuck no watch the video, floyd was ready to fight and dude giving out hugs like a care bear, keep your gloves up
Nigga I kept telling ninjaz that shit he was hugging like a mofo- he was giving May too much respect. He headbutt he should have just touched gloves instead of all them damn hugs :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Re: if i was 5o yrs younger i'd kick ur ass

The more I watch it, the more I'm like what was Ortiz thinking. I understand that he was appologetic about the headbutt, but how do you accidently headbutt someone like that in the first place. After the headbutt he's hugging and kissing because he knew he was wrong. THE REF TELLS THEM TO FIGHT and then looks to the time keeper to make sure that he restarts the clock. The boxers touch gloves and Ortiz wants to continue to hug it out. Floyd is still angry about the headbutt and pops dude not once but twice.

Why should Pac submit to the test because Floyd wants it, when he has passed all of the boxing ordered tests? That would be like me telling you that you need to pass my test before I let you drive a car past my house when you have a driver's license.

If I would get paid 30 million to take that test, I would be one test taking muffuka.

And your analogy is off. It's like you offering me millions to play poker at my crib but me turning it down because you want to check the cards first.

Re: Mayweather vs. Ortiz: Sucker punch or fair play?

Pretty much. This same shit always goes on about "sucker punches". You can't sucker punch someone while you are fighting them. This guy Ortiz....I don't know much about him but my perception of him is that he has a soft makeup. Even in the weigh-in yesterday. He's been letting Mayweather intimidate him with his mouth from jump. Why you would try and hug a professional fighter is beyond me but I guess its lesson learned now. He won't make that mistake again. I still believe this cat had to have threw this fight. I'm seeing all these people on facebook talking about sucker punch. These niggas can't be serious.

watch the fight on youtube again, mayweather never went in for any apology his gloves were up ready to fight

aight niggas im back at my spot...my views and thoughts on the ppv

jessie vargas aint ready for the big time yet at 140..not in the least..nearly getting ko'ed and looking tired after 10 rounds proved that to me

morales-cano was fight of the night - boxing wise but one thing was made clear to me...if that was matthysse erik would have been ko'ed big time

alvarez-gomez was interesting in the fact that gomez was winning to me on the cards before getting caught but it looked like premature stoppage to me through and through

mayweather-ortiz - shit what can i say? im still trying to comprehend the fuckery of what the fuck happened..headbutt, ref losing control of fighters, ortiz hugging and kissing floyd:wtf:smh:nah, floyd pretty much KTFO on a sucker punch, ortiz smiling and shit afterwards, floyd going off on larry merchant...so much shit:lol..well at least i picked up some dough off predicting a floyd stoppage

time to put some more ppl on my ignore list , dudes in here commenting like they actually seen the whole footage.. :smh::smh::smh: vicks my dude tooo

Re: if i was 5o yrs younger i'd kick ur ass

Ortiz actually left his fucking feet for that headbutt...he was doing his best against a nigga trapped against the ropes...the nigga was laughing at him and Ortiz had a brainfart..he was feeling wronged by mother nature for Mayweather having that much of an advantage on him even being a decade older. What he got was a legal taste of his own illegal medicine and it was more than he could swallow. This is a payday of 30-45 million for Floyd and he fights once a year, he can't be taking no bullshit illegal shots at this age. Ortiz got what he deserved, end of story.

Mayweather knew win, lose, or draw the topic of the post fight would be Pacman. Him & Larry dont like each other point blank!!!! He told him before that he dont know shit about boxing. The only way I see a rematch happening is if PacMan loses against Marquez in Nov

Re: if i was 5o yrs younger i'd kick ur ass

No go back and look. He allowed Ortiz to approach him and hug him. If he was up and ready to fight he would of never let Ortiz hug him and whisper an apology in his ear.

No doubt... dude has some serious issues..the Maidona fight should have illustrated that... dude quit because he was getting hit too much...he complained about taking punishment :smh:
