The 2nd and 3rd one disappointed me something serious, so this one doesn't make me feel any better about it.
Saw the bootleg a couple of days ago but Imma give my final thoughts when I see the proper copy.
Damn it was that bad?
It was telling a old story instead of a new one and it had a bunch unnecessary goofiness from the blue hair bitch, fake agent smith and fake morpheus

I'm watching it now and it's not as bad as the IGN review but like you said if I had to pay for it then I might have a different opinion.. Lol
Just left theatre with the Wife and Ill give a quick summary and thoughts right now.
1. 3/5stars which is solid but very disappointing
2. This movie was good maybe even very good IF this had not been a revisit to the movieverse of one my favorite movie ever The Matrix and was just a movie without the Matrix tag.
3. There was a Great movie hidden in this movie but it was fucked up with too much bullshit.
4. Huge mistakes that doomed this movie and made it not live up to the potential 1. The biggest mistake was Not having Laurence as Morpheus ,Hugo as Smith and having the Oracle character left an unfillable void these new people couldnt feel at all 2. Straying too far from the original premise of the original Matrix movie.
The thing that made the 3 originals good was they had heart and great innovative action,you felt Neo and Trinity love,you felt Morpheus being the ultimate mentor,you felt the Oracle trying to help but also her devotion to being a machine andyoy really felt Smith and his desire for power and freedom. This movie didnt have any feelings at all none just actors playing parts and following a script. the Matrix was great a even 20 years later holds up(I watched it last night)this movie will be forgotten in 3 weeks. Unless they bring back the real Morpheus,pay the real Smith to come back please let this be the end cause anyother sequals will only taint the original movies.

Watching it now on HBO MAX. I'd be tight if I saw this in theaters. It would've been a waste of tickets.
Action scenes saved this from being a total disaster.

This is one of the most offensive awful attempts at a sequel I've ever seen, Just a complete clusterfuck of a movie.
Name one line that you rememver that wasn't taken from one of the other movies? Name an action scene that was even remotely well done and shot that wasn't from one of the other movies? Villain was ass, bugs was the best part but nowhere near enough to save this shit show.
. its basically a the force awakens style nostalgia mash up, I don't want to waste to many keystrokes on this yr rash nobody asked for so I'll leave it at that.
oh and anyone who liked it probably has a fast and furious movie in their top ten.... Not a compliment.

4. Trinity as the female heroine
5. Cheap special effects
6. Horrible kung fu fight scenes
7. A liquid digitized holographic Morpheus
8. The Analyst replacing the Architect
9. The Merovingian!!!!!!!
10. The love story between Neo & Trinity
11. Add what I missed
Niobe and the concept of Io was one of the few things I liked about this film --that and the civil war between the machines regarding the decision for a truce with humans. I also like the therapy sessions between Neo and NPH. So much potential wasted thru bad writing. It wasn't even the acting, the writing FAILED this movie. I also like the idea of using mirrors to travel between worlds. So much potential wasted!!
Glad I got to watch the 9.0 GIG 2160p version at home thanks to my fellow movie dealing brethren.
