Marvel Movie Discussion: The Thunderbolts* Update: Sentry? NEW BIG GAME TRAILER!

I think it was pretty decent. It would have been an A if they had made it a little darker and fleshed out the characters more. I give it a solid B. I saw it with the wife and she loved Red Guardian. The problem with this "team" is they all do the same shit. Ghost is the only one with a different power set. Oh, and she would get it raw. IDGAF

Nah I’m not saying that; the tv shows have been good! And several movies have been good! It’s just infinity and end game were so great that it made it hard to follow! They should have took a break for a moment…

This entire phase of the MCU was based upon milking money from the lesser know Marvel characters - in movies and with the TV shows. Eternals, the Marvels, Moonknight, Thunderbolts.

This is arrogance. The purposely let the X Men and Fantastic 4 sit on the sidelines for years while they prepared to milk shit like The Black Knight.

To add to it, the spent years setting up Kang then decided, nah, we'll switch to Doom. So all of the Kang movies and shows now were pointless.

Loki season 2 need not even exist now.

So, to your point, they need to stop thinking about milking properties, stop talking about expanded timelines. Get a director that loves the content, and just make one really great movie.

Drop your formula, get one talented person and let them work closely with the comic writers and make something great. It worked with X-Men 97, it can work with the movies.

They just arent putting the level of care and quality into these lesser characters
Look at guardians of the galaxy, that's how you do a lesser known set of characters
Those tv shows were nothing but a chore to get thru
People have no reason to care for any of these characters
It's like marvel just thinks, well they're marvel characters the people are going to love them.

I agree with this.

I enjoyed myself, and I haven't in a Marvel since the Spidey/Spiderverse movies.

Not sure how good it was, but forgettable shit like the Eternals, Brave New World and Shang Chi make it seem a lot better. If this came out in 2017 I would probably feel differently.

Fair enough but the acting was great on Moon Knight; Falcon and Winter Soldier was a good show; Wanda Vision was good show; Daredevil was a good show; What if was a good show; Agatha was a good show; Neighborhood Spidey was a good show; Xmen 97 was a good show; Loki both seasons was a good show; Echo was solid(i thought it could have been better); Hawkeye was solid; Ms Marvel wasnt for me so i didnt watch, but heard it was a good show; She Hulk i didnt watch either; Secret Invasion was awful!
So, to me, Marvel Studios TV shows have been more than solid; If one thinks Marvel has miss on the TV Shows, then one shouldnt really be interested in Marvel movies period; and that one I would say is also being bias; now the movies well we can have a different discussion about that....

You missed the point; My overall point, which ive stated several times; is Marvel TV Shows have been more than solid across the board; and the majority of people who have watched, as well as the critics and the reviews show as much!! Thats my overall point! I was being sarcastic as it relates to his take on Moon Knight....

Xmen 97 was the best of the bunch by mile
It was really good
Loki was decent
Wanda vision was ok
Hawkeye was ok
Falcon and winter soldier was disappointing
Didn't watch she hulk or ms marvel or echo or Agatha.
One issue that I think is a problem is they drag these shows out with too much filler. They could tighten it up and they would be less of a slog to get through.
Budget restrictions also ruin a lot.
It's the same shit with star wars
Mando was good
Boba had some moments
Askoka was so so
Obi wan.....bruh smh
Didnt watch andor or anything else because they killed my interest in star wars
That last movie they did was horrendous

You said Loki was decent :hmm: Im cool fam; I cant have an honest debate with you if you think Loki was only decent :giggle:! and im not talking about anything Star Wars; completely different company within the company; that is run by different people...
 
And trust me I don't hate marvel
I see them all on opening night
I bought every movie on bluray and rebought them all on 4k
Even bought the last couple that I was cold on like bp2, Dr strange 2 , black widow
Didn't buy the marvels
I wouldn't buy any of the shows though
I couldnt imagine sitting thru them again
 
B+ i liked the fact that they couldn't actually beat sentry. Hated Taskmaster getting killed ..Taskmaster had photographic memory...she should have been able to anticipate a bullet. Lastly i loved the fact they the end of the movie that didn't have a large army fight scene.. ie...soldiers against a bunch of aliens.
