I am legit SHOCKED by some of the responses in here.
I only read like 2 so I don't know how really prevalent it is.
But in REAL LIFE? Folks really enjoyed this movie.
Just wasn’t my cup of tea. I actually liked the Ms Marvel series. To be honest I’m just not a fan of the character Captain Marvel. I think there’s a way to make that character work. I just don’t know how.

It’s lazy. But there are some parrallells….both are stories about bad guys who are heroes or trying to be. Bucky basically Rick Flag. It’s lazy but I can see both Guardians and Suicide squad influences.
I noticed though people move to go against the grain. It’s starting to happen with Sinners now. It’s weird as hell. I’m wondering did we all even watch the same movie. If anyone wants to say they shouldn’t have fought a villain like Sentrey that’s fair but I thought they did and handled it the only way they could while making him a threat.

I wanted to care about them but I didn’t. Despite Marvel introducing all 3 in their own shit. I didn’t care and honestly I don’t care about most female Marvel characters. They don’t do a good job of writing them. I find myself enjoying most of the female women in Wakanda. If the standard is Black Panther and Winter Soldier and End game? Yeah it’s a fail for me.

Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster and John Walker either dealing with their own personal problems or new lanes in life are at times able to capture that great rhythm of the former Avengers and Avengers films of the past. Dealing with personal trauma and wounded psyches and blended with action is when the movie started to become effective for me. As Yelena Florence Pugh stands out the most. Shes dealing with anguish but she still has a soft spot to do the right thing.I thought some interesting things were done with the specific powers of one of the characters. Also some terrific visuals were attached to a character. I did have questions about how certain story threads would be resolved and I did enjoy the resolution for most of them.
PROBLEMS: I had hoped the movie would dive more into a characters psyche because I really wanted to see the character shaken up more. I wish the movie had completely committed to its dark moments. I definitely had some unintentional laughs especially at the first appearance of a character which reminded me of a cheesy 1987 super heroe movie. A few dull let's get it on with it moments pop up here and there.

Uall being to generous or you dont wanna admit rhis was a bad movie. This movie is a 41'2 or a 5 at best. This was badically black widow 1.5
I mean aside from having 2 or I guess 3 characters from Black Widow I don’t see the connection. What makes it a bad movie?

Let's not forget the change of leadership over at Disney and then having to bring Iger...along with the pandemic. I think they are getting back to it, but Fantastic Four better be really "fantastic" because it's not looking good so far... Thunderbolts was good, but it wasn't all that and I'm looking at these numbers between Thunderbolds and Brave New World and I want people to keep that same energy for Thunderbolts that they did for Brave New World...(i still maintain that BNW wasn't as trash as everyone was saying)
I'm going to have to go back and watch the TV shows cause I'm in the theater asking my son about Valentina being in She-Hulk or something because I didn't think she was that big of a deal other than post credit scenes
Agree...John Campea was talking about on the open mic last night about how they could potentially do Hulk vs. Sentry if they ever decided to go down the path of WWHulk, but not this version of Hulk

I had heard it delt with mental care/well being, but was pleasantly surprised how well they handled it.
Ok, since it was mentioned. Taskmaster got killed but I was really hoping she would turn up later in the movie injured pissed and ready to fuck somebody up! And The Sentry 'voiding' regular citizens was a total waste of power. So all the people he voided are still stuck there or did they return when he switched back to 'Bob'?
