The crazy thing is as powerful as Sentry was, he was holding back
sidebar... I've never been a huge fan of these hyper powered beings in these stories in comics. As a writing exercise it's amazing but I'm always torn in most cases.
I thought here? They did a very good job juggling that. It made "sense" in the context of the story.

They should have either given Taskmaster a better death or just leave it off entirely. I understand that version of the character needed to be completely rebooted. But I was not a fan of the execution no pun intended and it seemed tacked on and it was as the director stated.

The weakness they gave him in him being mentally unstable felt more tolerable than the weakness I've seen other overpowered characters get. DC is notorious for having ridiculously overpowered characters with weaknesses that are even more ridiculous.

I agree but his weakness is mental instability in the comics as well! He actually splits into two beings in the comics! I thought the movie was solid! Different from other mcu movies because it was a mental emotional movie. Still had the jokes. Some were corny; but other than that I thought the movie was very solid…
