It's a little bit more complicated than that. Floyd and Marquez fight very differently and particularly against southpaws have different strengths and weaknesses. Regardless, I thought the fight was close and in no way some robbery. I thought Marquez was just insane for taking those rounds off. It was bad enough that he fought most of the fight going backwards but his timing was beautiful and Marquez has the perfect style for an orthodox to fight a left handed fighter.
Hopefully Floyd will be inspired by Pacquiao looking ordinary and make the fight. If Floyd were as confident as his fans, the fight would be made by now. I almost wanted Marquez to win because eventually Pacquiao is going to lose to someone because that's what happens when you fight often. When I was watching the fight, I was thinking all these other dudes are fighting Pacquiao without all this PED claim nonsense and in the end one of them is going to beat him first and Mayweather may never get to him.
