The Nation openly acknowledges Elijah's indiscretions in the sense that he did have relations with some women he was not married to. I know this for a fact because at the Million Man March anniversary Farrakhan not only brought it up during his speech (justifying the behavior by saying he didn't do anything different from what your Christian pastors be doing or something to that effect), he also brought up some the kids from those relationships onto the stage to tell the world that the Nation openly accepts them (not sure how long this acceptance had been going on).

Farrakhan and some of the others knew already. Malcolm did not know. It was that Judas Warith D. Mohammed that told Malcolm and it was the way he told him. Warith D. had already been paid to destroy his father's work and promote Arab Islam. But Farrakhan has stated this before. When Malcolm split from the nation he contacted Farrakhan to have a discussion with him. Farrakhan told him how they were already dealing with it. They used the path in the bible about David. He took another man's wife and got her pregnant and had the dude killed. But his good out weighed his bad at the present moment. He had been spoken to about this. Now if he was fucking boys or something they all would have left him and he would not have been fit to teach. But what had already happened they agreed that at that moment the message was more important than this. And this had been told to Malcolm.
