Ha!

These are some of my old renders, I did these in Daz with the Realty renderer

Ok I read the thread on that forum and think I understand what that iray plane does. Sounds like it blocks the wall or ceiling to let the hdri light in without having to turn the walls or ceiling off in the scene. I'm gonna try it. This could save me a LOT of time if it works.

Thanks!

Man before it's all said and done I might make a porn flic wit this shit.lol

Shiiiid, that's one of my goals. I also have other projects I want to do but hentai porn is definitely one of them!

I want to eventually do a movie or two. I don't know about a show though. Maybe I could pull off a 5-episode series like Afro Samurai. But anything more than that I would need a team of people to work on it with me and a big budget of course.

The thing I love about working digitally is that everything can be saved as a preset and reused later. So the more time goes by using the program the easier it gets to produce material. Give me another 1-2 years with this program and I'll be piping out episodes back to back.

Also, they keep creating tools that make Daz easier to work with so in time it will be nothing to produce content. In studying anime films, a lot of the movements are rudimentary, it's just that they do a lot of different cuts. With Daz you can set up 5 -10 camera angles and then cut from camera to camera on the same animation sequence making it seem like you did way more work than you actually did. And now that MOCAP suits are affordable animation movements are easy and you don't have to do all that programming. The future is looking bright!

Also there are animations you can get and apply to your characters as well right? I seen them shits on renderotica.

I think you should just start off with a reel of a character or section of a story. That could get interest or at least some like minded people to join the team.

Yeah, you can cop the animations and apply them. Also, though it takes some tweaking, you can use poses to create animations, from one pose to the next.

Yep! Damn near everything has ben pre-made. It's just plug n play now!

This is what I was thinking of but couldn't remember the name until now. Do something like this.

This is dope as fuck!!!

Yeah, a lot of this can be in Daz but the explosions and particle fx might be need to done in Blender or Maya, or After Effects.

Go for it!

Check these vids out, with the right graphics cards you can do this shit in no time!

Yeah man,

I came to the realization that I need to fuck with Maya. Daz does not have IK (inverse kinetics) which makes it hard as fuck to animate certain shit. I used the Daz to Maya bridge to transfer G8F to Maya. Worked like a charm. So now I can program certain animations and then pull them back into Daz for final rendering.

Update!!!

The Daz DOES have an IK system!!!!! It's just that the fucking Genesis 3 & 8 don't work well with the active pose tool!!! Gen 3/8 have extra bones that make the Active Pose Tool unusable.

Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 work well with the active pose tool. Remember you can save a Genesis pose as a preset and it will work on Genesis 3. You can pin the feet to the ground and move the character around the way you need to, THEN save as a pose preset/animated pose preset and load onto Genesis 3 or 8!!!

Daz Studio is a hood ass program, lol. It's full of workarounds and shit but hey, it's a free program and as long as you can get the job done, fuck it!

@THE DRIZZY with this video, if you use Genesis 1 or 2 the pinning will behave correctly!!

This shit kinda pisses me off, but in a good way.

I kinda wish Genesis 3 & 8 didn't exist. There are characters, morphs, poses, clothing for G3-8 and that you can't get for Genesis. But if you could, the shit would be fucking awesome because Genesis has the most functionality! Ain't that some shit!??

If DAZ makes a better exporting tool for Unreal 4(and 5 down the line) i could put a lot of effort into making something similar to this

Remember one guy(Chinese dude) made the initial proof-of-concept,studios were impressed and hooked him up with $$$ so that he could put together a small team to make the actual game

Would exporting to Maya, 3DSMax, Blender or C4D, THEN exporting to Unreal work? Would any of those options work? I checked out the Daz to Maya Bridge (free) they recently released and Genesis 8 Female exported perfectly into Maya. One more export and you would be in Unreal :dunno:

Good stuff about posing.

How to organize folders with 3rd party is always a hassle. My shit was all over the place. You had to make a realtime folder with object, texture, and materials.

Once I transfer from one PC to another I will use this method for all 3rd party materials.

one of the content creators on the Daz3d website that makes converters that let you use G3/G8 clothes and textures for Genesis 1&2. Here's a link to his store. https://www.daz3d.com/riversoft-art . His stuff's easy to find on ware sites.

Yo, here's a tip.

If you have Generation 4 character animations (Victoria 4, Aiko 4, Michael 4, The Girl 4), you can load them onto Generation 5 (Genesis 1), save them as pose presets (animated), then load the pose preset onto Generation 7 (Genesis 3) characters. Also, there is a morph by AgentUnawares (https://www.deviantart.com/agentunawares/art/G3F-to-G8F-World-s-Greatest-Pose-Converter-709591348) that converts Generation 8 (Genesis 8) characters to a T-pose, which will then allow Genesis 3 animations to work properly on Genesis 8 characters.

Genesis 8 is also backwards compatible with all Genesis 1, 2 & 3 clothing. Right now, everything can be converted to Genesis 8. There is a script I haven't tried yet that converts V4/M4 morphs to Genesis 8. If it works correctly that will be the lick! Because there is a lot of free V4 stuff out there that can be recycled.

And they came out with a new Black character....Chick looks good, lol! Is it me or does this chick really look like a real person??

Thanks! I'm not switching to Genesis though, I'm just gonna animate on Genesis and then apply the animation to G8. There's too much new dope shit for G8 that you can't get for Genesis, morphs I mean. I use Breastacular, Headlights, Auto Shape Enhancers, RealFit Softbody morphs, Juicy Wet Cameltoe, etc. I just wish I could animate directly with G8 rather than having to do it with Genesis and then transfer to G8.

Man what I need to figure out is how to get a massive library of shit from Poser into this bitch. I made an additional folder of my Poser runtime and it wouldn't show up in Daz.

You may have to do it manually. If you are forced to do it that way it would be a great time to organize all your content. When I get my next setup, mine will have separate folders that are subject specific. Objects, textures, materials, hair, mats, characters, body morphs, expressions, props(things and locations), clothing, poses, etc. I wish I could give you a simpler solution.

Btw, I use Path Finder as an alternate Finder on my Mac. I don't know if it's available for Windows but it sure helps me to organize content better, just a better design, more features.
