Kevin Love Traded for Wiggins, Bennett, and future pick

Yeah I like the pick up. Did we get a first round draft pick from Minnesota too?

Yep, not sure if it's protected though. Dude does seem to have a plan though. Crazy thing is, I'm actually excited to see this thing play out!

Yeah me too. Hinkie certainly does have a plan. I like it.

Yep! Next year will be tough, but it will be cool to see the young fellas develop. Bennett will probably come off the bench which will only benefit his confidence. Think about this Bruh, this year and next, unless a move is made, 4 out of our 5 starters will be under 24, all 1st round picks, and if we pick up a shooter we will have all bases covered, and the good thing is, there will be no superstar egos! I like the fact that Noel will be able to develop while Embiid sits out, and then, over the summer once we know what Noel is, we can customize the way they will play together! If Saric pans out, with all the cap space we will have, might be a problem!

It's a good way to bulid a championship contender for years to come.

Those squads actually had some potential

Only in terms of hype.

Not in terms of actual basketball potential.

Miles could never be bothered with working on his game or his body.

Boozer aint about shit.

Davis was a head case. Your team is doomed from the start if he is your "leader".

Wagner is one of the biggest busts in recent memory.

Its fucking amazing what they surrounded James with at the beginning of his career.

Come on famo

U can't act like he didn't have basketball players

Ricky davis can get buckets. He did in boston and heat

Miles and Q in LA was decent with odom

Boozer was fresh off a championship and playin decent

Big Z was a allstar the year before

Wagner was the lone fuck up

But Lebron handled the rock and played the Combo guard

Now when Cleveland have Lebron Ben Wallace and Larry Hughes that was bullshit

Pooh woulda took them niggas to the finals

Anddddd they had Paul Silas coaching

The cavs flipped all them niggas tho

Smh @ Wagner

He was suppose to be a beast

Gene won't dare talk about these squads tho

Pooh wouldn't have done shit but get his ass kicked in the playoffs like he did 1-4. He had a much better team with Noah, Deng, Boozer, Taj, Korver, etc. and didn't do shit! Hell, he couldn't even lead the Bulls past my weak ass Sixers because of his fragile tin ass!

Pooh ain't do shit when he was healthy and he ain't doing shit now!!! Ass damn near got swept in the last playoff series he was healthy!! Niggas all gassed over a fucking Scrimmage!! His shit will be in a brooks brothers by December again this year!!

Yeah their bad for not flanking him with a few fellow allstars and all NBA players

Since he showed that is what he clearly needs to win it all

And Boozer left that team and had a very good career

Him staying in Cleveland would've helped out a lot

Big Z was solid

Miles was a lazy bust

Davis was a head case no debate there either

Didn't Wagner get some sort of health condition?

That contributed to his NBA career not working out

Dude I pray to god you just trolling right now.

I aint talking about winning, Im talking raising a future franchise player.

Any GM with half a brain would NEVER let James call RICKY DAVIS a teammate. EVER!

You get a rookie like that and you surround him with veterans who take their craft seriously and show him the ropes to being a PROFESSIONAL. More importantly you remove all the players who may be a negative influence in the locker room.

By the way, yes Boozer has had a very nice career. Do we agree that he never reached his potential though? Guy has the skills to be a perennial all-star, and still does, but hasnt lived up to that.

Here is a look at some of the sets the Cavs will run under coach Blatt

So is there a official Cleveland Cavaliers 2014-2015 thread yet or is this it......
Go Cavs...

I was halfway trolling in my opening comments but everything else I posted I was dead serious

And Boozer maximized his potential

Couple Allstar games, a few 20 and 10 seasons, career averages of 16 and 10

He is slightly undersized and unathletic out there and made it do what it do

He was a 2nd rounder for a reason and it was his flaws

He still balled in the NBA all things considered

Him staying in Cleveland would've been a plus for Lebron no question

He didn't have a player better in Cleveland after Boozer left

I shouldnt be hard on Boozer at that particular point in his career cause he was so young as well.

But I swear you wouldnt meet a single Jazz or Bulls fan who would tell that Boozer maxed out his potential on the court.

He did ball out in the NBA... whenever the game wasnt important. The moment the intensity was raised up a bit, Boozer disappeared.

Self: Wiggins wants to be traded to Wolves

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...w-wiggins-wants-traded-minnesota-timberwolves

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Andrew Wiggins told Kansas coach Bill Self that he wants to be traded from Cleveland to Minnesota because the No. 1 overall pick believes it will be better for his long-term future.

Wiggins joined his former coach as a guest instructor at Self's basketball camp in suburban Kansas City on Sunday. And while Wiggins declined to speak to the few reporters at Shawnee Mission West High School, Self said the rookie wants to carve out his own legacy in the NBA.

"When all this trade stuff started, I talked to Andrew and Andrew told me, 'I hope I get traded,'" Self said. "And I'm like, 'No you don't.' And he said, 'Coach, I do. It's better for me, knowing my personality and what I need to do, to go somewhere where I'm forced to be something as opposed to going in there where they're going to be patient with me and I'm going to be a piece.'"

Earlier this week, ESPN.com and several other outlets reported a deal has been reached to send Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a first-round pick to Minnesota for All-Star forward Kevin Love, who will join LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to form a new "Big 3" in Cleveland.

The deal cannot be consummated until Aug. 23, when Wiggins is eligible to be traded.

Self said that he initially thought everything worked out perfectly for Wiggins, who would have a chance to win immediately in Cleveland. But he also saw Wiggins' point: The low-key, soft-spoken swingman could fare better if he's carrying the weight of a franchise.

That would never have happened if Wiggins was playing in James' lengthy shadow.

"Even though in a weird way everybody would love the opportunity to play with LeBron because you're guaranteed winning," Self said, "for the longevity of his career, he needs to develop that mindset to be the guy, for him to be great, and I think being Minnesota will help him do that."

Wiggins, who set numerous freshman records during his lone season with the Jayhawks, also appears to be a good fit for the Timberwolves. While his defense is already NBA-caliber, Wiggins will be able to develop his offense alongside point guard Ricky Rubio in an up-tempo system.

Speaking of that offense, Wiggins took part in a modified game of horse on Saturday against former Kansas stars Jeff Graves, Jeff Hawkins and several young campers. After clanking a series of 3-pointers off the iron, Wiggins was the first contestant to be eliminated.

He took the ouster with a smile and a shrug, just as he has all of the trade talk.

"I think he's handled everything great. He's excited," Self said. "I think the whole thing that's been blown out of proportion a bit is that he's been in limbo. He's known since the summer that he'd be traded. It's OK. In some ways he's looking forward to going to Minnesota."

Jazz and Bulls fan hate him cuz for the amount of money he been making all these years he should've produced more but he was doing what he could

Dude isn't 6'11 nor super athletic with long arms

Wiggins is a smart kid, knowing his role and whats best for his long term development.. lets hope and pray that the Minnesota organization and fans can be patient with the kid allowing him to develop.
With the win now mentality in Cleveland, Wiggins development may have suffered greatly.
