The entertainment industry as we know it is less than 100 years old, they're not institutions, and they're not failing because Darwin was wrong... they're failing because the business model they're clinging to is based on industrial era business practices and distribution during the information era. If anything both film and music industries will prove his theory- cause they will either adapt or die.

Financial institutions aren't failing, its just that over the last 20 years they shifted their focus from providing services to everyone to accumulating wealth for the few.
