Assist.I'm so confused to why a filmmaker would strip his film of color. Especially a Superhero film....
Man WB ain't dumb they know this shit ain't real. They restore that Snyderverse shit and they will go right back to making mediocre movies and getting shitted on by DC. Just start fresh. Maybe once they get their shit together they can link back up with Snyder but they can do much better than this colorless shit and slow motion fight scenes he's putting.
Man I was like why the fuck they put him in that hoe just take him completely out then. Hated that character. Whedon fucked him over. When I saw the original justice league I remember thinking why is cyborg such a miserable bitch. Unbelievable what Whedon did to this movie.
Assist.
Snyder did not strip color.
He uses a low saturation (ie muted) color palette. That's all.
Zach Snyder tends to use very low saturation color palettes in order to elicit certain emotions from the audience.
It's a big part of the way he tells a story, on film.
Snyder's movies all have a consistent 'signature look', when it comes to tonality.
His choice of color palette harkens back to the roots of Detective Comics & old-school filmmaking.
Christopher Nolan introduced a more grimy version of Batman when he made The Dark Knight trilogy.
And Christopher Nolan is one of the Executive Producers of JL.
So Snyder continues Nolan's tonality choices by increasing the film grain & using muted color palettes. He keeps the visual tones consistent so that the audience will tend to believe that Superman and The Dark Knight could exist in the same city, at the same time.
Fabian Wagner (Cinematographer for Justice League) revealed that when Snyder left the JL movie back in 2017... Warner Bros. Executives purposefully changed the color palette of the completed film so it could achieve a lighter tone, in an effort to duplicate the 'tonality' of Marvel movies.
I think its in DC's best interest to leave that universe bullshit alone just make standalone films. Because right now Shazam is well received, WW was, Joker was....Suicide Squad 2 is getting people hyped....just scrap it and make standalone films. No shame in that. And then on the side try to build up a universe. Maybe use the Flash films to start a universe with that but don't build your whole movie franchise around it.The problem is that this will be like the third maybe fourth time that they have rebooted their franchises ......
Everything just seems disjointed now...
Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Suicide Squad .... All have characters that and stories that have been part of the Snyderverse.
Aquaman made a Billion --- so that's not getting rebooted.
Wonder Woman (outside of the last movie) .... Has been well received ... You can't reboot that.
Technically I guess you could use the Flash Movie to pull a New 52...
But the problem with DC is that nobody has any faith that they will follow through with their plans.
And in the Science Fiction\ Superhero business ... You don't watch if you don't think there's going to be a conclusion...
A good example would be the current state of the Syfy channel...
Like DC .... Fan support for the Syfy Channel was at an all time low after Battlestar Galactica ended. They cancelled great shows like Alphas and Stargate Universe while keeping Ghosthunters and wrestling ...
No one watched their shit because you knew not to get invested if a show was going to end without a conclusion ....
Then suddenly Syfy changed bringing new shit in or renewing shows like 12 monkeys, Warehouse 13, and Haven ... to let them have a true ending...
All of a Sudden people were like... Ok Syfy ..... I'll now start watching your Original Shows because now it looks like you will give the series a chance to grow.... So shit like Dark Matter, Continuum, Killjoys, the Expanse, the Magicians .... came out to rave reviews... Maybe not insane numbers but good numbers for Syfy
And then that all Changed when Syfy cancelled Dark Matter and the Expanse for no reason ....... All of that good will left the building and people stopped giving a shit about Syfy again ..
That's why good shit like Deadly Class and Krypton .. never made it... Everyone knew they were going to get cancelled
Now the only show that Syfy has ... is Resident Alien and two other shows that are ending this year...
The Syfy channel is pretty much a walking corpse...
I'm bringing this up .... because unless WB gets their shit together and sticks to a plan .... the only franchise that they will have will be Batman and as much as I love Batman .... I've grown tired of the constant reboots.
DC has all of these amazing fucking God like characters and they continue to do absolutely shit with them on the Big screen.
Like I would kill for a Wetworks movie....
First off.... Fuck You.
Secondly.... yeah yeah... I know I'm gonna check it out one day. I was just so disgusted last night at how long the movie was.
Fam I knew that shit was 4hrs long going in. Figured I would watch at least half at a time. Ended up watching the whole thing. Not the best movie by far but it goes deep into every member.Decided to check out The Snyder Cut last night and D/L'ed it and hit play. I didn't realize it is 4 hours long! Hit stop right after that and deleted that shit. No way I'm watching a 4 hour movie.
I was just bustin' his chops. All in fun.Don't hold back tell us how you really feel.![]()
New DC Fan Movement #RestoreTheSnyderVerse Trends, Hits 1 Million Tweets
After the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, DC fans are backing a new social media campaign to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse.
DiscussingFilm announced that the hashtag to "Restore the SnyderVerse" hit a major milestone when it was spotted trending worldwide with over one million tweets calling for Warner Bros. to allow Snyder to finish his DC Extended Universe plan. More SnyderVerse supporters joined the movement in the aftermath of Snyder's Justice League, which debuted on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
The Snyder cut itself was released after a legion of fans coalesced into an online collective that, ultimately, a major motion picture studio could not ignore, resulting, in part, with the studio giving them exactly what they demanded by greenlighting Snyder's version of Justice League, the movie he began but which Joss Whedon finished after Snyder left the project.
As many DC fans already know, the planned Justice League trilogy is no longer happening, even though the newly released Snyder cut ends on a massive cliffhanger. Snyder has already explained why the film sets up a direct sequel that is now not likely to happen, despite having ideas on how the potential trilogy could have ended with a shock new superhero, and much, much more.
Plot rumors about Snyder's Justice League 2 have circulated for years, with Kevin Smith claiming the sequel would have seen the superheroes traveling to Apokolips to confront Darkseid. There was even chatter the second film would have ended on a downbeat note in the vein of Empire Strikes Back, while a third and final film would have been the final end battle between the Justice League and Darkseid.
For now, though, we have four hours of Snyder's Justice League to sit and dissect, with extended fight scenes, a different aspect ratio, new character designs, and deleted scenes to examine. IGN has put together a breakdown of how the new iteration of the film differs from Whedon's theatrical version of Justice League from 2017, including how much of the film is presented in slow motion.

What's really fucked up is that now we know that all the films after MOS were butchered by WB to fit their interests. DC's animated movie division is straight fire but we might be losing that kiddy Teen Titian Go type movies soon.I would agree with this if the previous stand alone films didn't reference things that happened in other movies ...
If they really wanted to just start over..... then I would have never caved to the audience pressure and released the Snyder version of the film... especially knowing that it would be so different from the 2017 version..
My gut is that they internally hoped that A) The Critics would savagely review the movie. and B) Audiences wouldn't want to sit through a 4hr long movie even at home...
I honestly think that they felt like .... it would be received as OK then people would move on.
Well it's a week since this thing dropped and it is still heavily on my timeline and it has increased since WB said they are done.
I do agree that Flash is the best way to start a new universe ...... but after seeing what Zach wanted to do... I think the noise is going to continue to grow for it to happen.
I'm cool either way .... but what I want is for WB to fucking commit to something and stick with it.
They have this great model going on in the WB animated Division and it is blowing my mind that they just can't do the same thing on the big screen.
Even the TV division is doing an amazing job with world building.
They tried to Marvel them shits up as well as force feed character arcs. Cyborg needed his own movie. Most fans already know Aquaman and the Flash. What's really fucked up is that now we know that all the films after MOS were butchered by WB to fit their interests. I just think it’s a waste of time emulating Marvel. Do your own shit find your own lane in this business.I would agree with this if the previous stand alone films didn't reference things that happened in other movies ...

You gotta remember... all of this stuff with the WB Executives happened like 4-5 years ago. What's these muthafucking executives obsession with Marvel movies? Marvel movies are becoming a formula and stale. Iron Man 2 and 3 sucked, Avengers Ultron was hot garbage, Black Panther in my opinion wasn't good, Thor Darkworld wasn't good, Captain Marvel was hot garbage, Ant-Man 1 and 2 was meh, they made Spiderman into a whiny kid "Mr Stark this" "Mr. Stark that"
Interesting list....BP is probably my favorite up there but I really enjoyed Ant Man 1 and 2....I know their budgets are a lot lower than the other Marvel films but they are much better than some of those movies up there. You gotta remember... all of this stuff with the WB Executives happened like 4-5 years ago.
Back in 2017, Marvel was killing the box office back then.
BTW, 6 Superhero movies came out in 2017.
These 6 films combined to make more than $4 billion dollars in worldwide box office ticket sales.
- Logan
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
- Wonder Woman
- Spider-Man: Homecoming
- Thor: Ragnarok
- and Justice League
And 2017 was Marvel Studios' biggest year in their entire 10 year history, up until to that point.
It was the first time the MCU made more than $2 billion dollars at the box office in a single year.
Btw, all of those movies you hate made a TON of money at the box office:
So the WB Executives were obsessed with 'the global box office money'... not 'how good' the movie is.
- Iron Man 2 made $623 Million
- Iron Man 3 made $1.2 Billion
- Avengers: Ultron made $1.4 Billion
- Black Panther made $1.3 Billion
- Thor Darkworld made $644 Million
- Captain Marvel made $1.1 Billion
- Ant-Man 1 made $519 Million
- Ant-Man 2 made $622 Million
- Spider-Man: Homecoming made $1.1 Billion
So they figure if they just 'copy / paste' certain aspects of Marvel movies (like brighter color palettes)..... they will make the same amount of Marvel money... or at least come close.
That's the whole problem, imo.
Rumor is that Syfy may end up becoming the new G4 channel..Now the only show that Syfy has ... is Resident Alien and two other shows that are ending this year...
The Syfy channel is pretty much a walking corpse...
WB problem is they want the Billion dollar blockbusters like Marvel but don't want to take the time to do it, greed is the shadow over WB, cause the Synder Cut is going to make alot of executive's even more knit picky to show they know what their doing. I don't have any high hopes with upcoming DC movie after WW84 you can see the direction shit is going they already changed the Black Adam script the Rock wrote The Batman getting the fuck tweaked out of it, we will see what happens. You gotta remember... all of this stuff with the WB Executives happened like 4-5 years ago.

Lol, don't you understand that Spider "Man" was 16 years old when he started. That's why real Marvel fans love Tom's version of the character. He was a kid in the beginning and full of doubts and teenage insecurities. What's these muthafucking executives obsession with Marvel movies? Marvel movies are becoming a formula and stale. Since Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and the first Iron Man Marvel changed Banner and War machine actors, and DC is on their third Batman. That's a continuity problem.WB problem is they want the Billion dollar blockbusters like Marvel but don't want to take the time to do it, greed is the shadow over WB, cause the Synder Cut is going to make alot of executive's even more knit picky to show they know what their doing. Well as someone who has all of Spider-man's comic books on flash drive I can tell you Spider-man spent exactly 33 issues as a teenager. The majority of his run has been as a young adult. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield actually has portrayed a more accurate Spider-man. Also Spider-man has never been an Iron Man fanboy. As far as his doubts and insecurities those things don't go away once you turn 20.Lol, don't you understand that Spider "Man" was 16 years old when he started. Marvel nailed it and the fans responded.

Pattinson's Batman is a stand-alone movie like JokerDC is on their third Batman.
Yes, and in the MCU he's in high school and Tony Stark is the man. In the Comics, Ironman was a B/C list character and not nearly as smart as Banner, Pym, Richards, Doom and others.Well as someone who has all of Spider-man's comic books on flash drive I can tell you Spider-man spent exactly 33 issues as a teenager. ExactlyPattinson's Batman is a stand-alone movie like Joker
In the CW/Arrowverse only Batman/Bruce can be mentioned..Joker and Harley Quinn are completely off-limits,as well as other Batman villains(except for Black Mask) not showing up on BatwomanHow can you hope the fans follow stand alone Joker and Batman movies, but then have another Joker and Batman in another series, and then another universe on TV?
Exactly ... Like this was one of my favorite parts ..
He knew what his son was about to do ..... yet he loved his son so much and was so worried that the world was not going to accept him that the last thing he did was tell his son not to save him...
Like that was a huge moment .... and went to define the version of Superman that lives in this Universe.
The Other flashbacks showed Clark using his powers when necessary to save people .... but this time ... there is no way that he could have done it without exposing himself to the world. Jonathan just wanted to protect him. Huge Shit...
