As I said earlier, Black people experienced the most punitive incarceration laws, anti-social safety net laws, and loss of Black wealth (the little we have) and homeownership under two DEMOCRATIC presidents. Black American ADoS HAVE NOT BEEN BENEFITTING FROM having Democratic presidents and Democrats in power!! Gays, immigrants, white feminists, white liberals? Yes! But US, no! That's the whole point! What the fuck does it matter to us by having Republicans in office if Dems have already fucked us over? Romney got 27% of the Hispanic vote so Trump outperformed him despite literally running an "I hate Mexicans" campaign. It is really amazing that we continue to pretend that Hispanics aren't white just because they speak Spanish and are from Central or Latin America. Anyway, I think the idea of not voting is a really fucking stupid strategy but the idea of organizing around an issue that is uniquely Black is smart. I hope something productive comes out of this debate.

That was a typo on his part. He meant Romney, not Hilary. Trump, despite his anti-Mexican, anti-immigrant rhetoric, actually won a greater percentage of the Hispanic vote in 2016 than Romney did in 2012.

Also, did Obamacare exempt ados? Did the invetsment in HBCUs exempt ados? Did the student loan forgiveness programs exempt ados? Did Obama’s middle class tax cut say “everyone but ados”? Did the homeowner assistant programs exempt ados?

You cited incarceration laws and anti safety net laws as targeting ados, but they don’t say ados only. So you can’t on 0ne hand say any law that affects ados negatively counts towards your argument even if it doesn’t single out ados, but laws that affect people positively only count if they single out ados. You can’t have it both ways.

Because of our history and our lineage, we are disproportionately at the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder. Issues about employment, incarceration, and social safety nets impact US because of that.

The law doesn't have to say "this group" only. It is understood that certain legislative moves will have an impact, positively or negatively, on particular groups based on what their relative socioeconomic or legal situation is. Gay marriage laws primarily impact homosexuals. That's only 5 percent or so of the general population. 95% of black people are heterosexual. The majority of immigrants, legal and illegal, are of Hispanic origin, so they have a vested interest in immigration laws. Black immigrants have an interest as well, but the vast majority of Black Americans are ADoS. 90+ percent. We're not immigrants. DACA and other laws have nothing to do with us. Women as a group are a protected class. The majority of American women are white. The majority of educated American women are white. Policies geared towards them, especially in employment and education, benefit them the most. Only 20 percent of Black Americans have college degrees. 80 percent don't.

Point is, the VAST MAJORITY of Black people are not benefitting from any of these current policies. Which is why we need to push for policies that DO benefit us as a group. And since we have been specifically targeted for marginalization and deprivation as a group, then we need to push for remunerations that specifically target and benefit us as a group. This is what ADoS is ultimately about!

Trump did better amongst black people because the Dems ran a candidate, Hillary Clinton, whose husband as president, amongst other things, pushed the 1994 Crime Bill and she helped him advocate for it. And she still got 88% of the black vote.
