I don't like how bitter Mal is, referring to Joe as fuckboy and bitchn!gga.....
But Rory can keep it professional....referring to him as He, Him......etc.
Mal and Joe were real real friends. Mal lived with Joe when he couldn't live with his own family.........yeah the situation is/was messed up... but stay on your pivot fam.....for a dude that always plays it "cool," that is not.
Joe said that he and Rory still talk. I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up working together again.
Mal is definitely hurt though. And he probably won’t be in the space to reconcile for years, if ever.
Joe isn't the guy you can have as a real friend. He's an acquaintance type of dude. He's far too flip at the lip, and will talk to you in a confrontational and combative manner that will get him punched in his shit. When you're a narcissist and overly sensitive and brash and a know it all, you can't be friends with that.
Yeah Joe and Rory went to counseling together a few times during the turmoil and afterwards.....and as a result, they still talk.
I think Rory ultimately knows his position.....Joe was the name and the brand.....Rory was brought in after a few episodes and went from being a nobody to a few years later a somewhat celebrity.....thanks to Joe.
Would getting a piece of the IP have been nice?...
hell yeah, but he wasn't there for JoeBuddenTv on ytube.....or even the beginning.
He didn't have the star factor and most importantly it wasn't in the contract.
Why Mal doesn't understand that part....... I don't understand.
There's truth to that, but I think with Joe he respects the people that call him on his bullshit. Whenever they call other industry cats (who mostly are doing "better" than him) he doesn't pull that with them....
And in the beginning Rory and Mal would call him on his bullshit.
And Mal is Mr. Cool so to become so out of character with the name calling..........
Regardless of how the business went down you were in that man's house when you couldn't stay with your own fam or your "real friends" in the league......
Enjoying his spillover trim and the other benefits of his B/C maybe even D list fame.....

I think for Mal to feel the way he does, Joe was fouler than we know. To build something from the ground up with a friend and then to be told what ya'll built is none of your business? Listening to Joe it's clear what kind of person he is. Hell him and Ish were on the outs for god knows how long. Joe said he doesn't owe his real friends any respect?!! Really? I think there was some shady shit afoot and to ask for the numbers and there be a 400,000 dollar mistake??
But in Mal's case it wasn't from the ground up.... it was about a year in when Mal came on..... Rory came on at like episode 8....
But yes Joe can be a real asshole at times and he definitely knows how to self-sabotage........

Besides him ... the way the "truth" was spun with this is a large part of the reason I don't fuck with social media, or follow artists outside of their "art". I really dgaf what they got going "off the field" so to speak.

Good For him, last time I listened to Joe was when Kevin Samuels was on there..hadn't listened in a while and i know it's hard to get the bag and still have that "struggle" feel to it, but once Rory and Mal left for good and it felt real, hadn't been back..
