Joe Biden released his plan for Black Americans today. Thoughts?

“African-American” already makes it suspect.

Naming is important when it comes to crafting policy. Looking forward to reading what the plan is and if he is selected, he follows through.

the so-called black farmers got screwed over in their settlement because other groups were allowed to skim from the pot.

Two-thumbs down.

No mention of:
-debt elimination/forgiveness
-access to low interest rate business loans
-access to low interest rate consumer/personal loans (regulation on payday loan companies)
-access to a guaranteed percentage of all
government contracts (Maynard Jackson as mayor of Atlanta set the standard)
-free college tuition for income less than $125,000? (most white millionaires have income less than this and qualify - the income/net worth trick)

and the biggest omission of all... ZERO mention of the word: RACISM.

Nice try but you’ll have to get political wench Symone Sanders and team to go back to the drawing board for this one.

Just another long list of non-committal bullshit that every politician parrots. Whenever I see terms like "invest in, expand, strengthen, advance, etc" I already know its a smoke screen. Because at that point all they have to do is increase their measures by half a percentage point and they can say "yep, we did what we promised!"

no, which is why it is a waste to vote for either.

are you mentally ill?

you advocate not voting for one senile, old white man but advocate voting for another just because he wears another color.

neither one deserves attention and the key is local and state politics, not President which your vote carries zero weight anyway.

Asians vote the least and it doesn’t affect them so why don’t you go harass your mail-order bitch from Bangkok about voting.

Why don’t y’all go vote for your Daddy Trump then and shut the fuck up . You expect an 80 year old White man to save you niggas?

This is something o may be able to get behind. Being stuck on reparations is stupid

Read through it here

Sounds decent enough at first glance,
But definitely some double speak
And dubious wording.

I'll speak on it when I leave the office in more depth tonight

Does that make it ok then?
It's not about whether it makes it ok or not. The problem is the limited and convenient outrage over who was behind pushing the war on drugs.
Funny how no one brings that up when some of those black politicians have been voted in office again and again.

Dude I remember when black churches use to beg the cops to come in and regulate. People really got selective memories.

People were getting killed, robbed, beat up, etc....
People couldn't even go outside their house for work, recreation, etc...
It's revisionist history when it comes to some of these folks who bring up the war on drugs.

That's the old way of thinking.

We been calling for new faces
And are calling and have been calling out the sellouts for sometime now.

These cats hilarious. I get it. Vote Biden to get the boogeyman out. But anyone defending that drug war/prison industrial complex fuckery because coons wanted a seat at the table is full of shit. :smh: All those simpletons were selling out to cacs.

I just seen Holder on Bill Maher talking about legalized weed. I wanted to snatch him through the television and beat the shit out of him. Sick of these grown ass cats who fucking new better but pushed a policy for the money.

I have read his ideas and I will summerize and give me opinion to what he is saying. 1st thing I will say is he gets high marks from me over EVERY other politician for saying Black or African American instead of "minority"or "people of color". He has laid out a platform of generic positions to help black people in this country such as investing in African American workers, businesses, and communities and expanding African American homeownership. Also he says that improving the quality of care African Americans receive is a top priority.Make the right to vote and the right to equal protection real for African Americans by dramatically expanding the Department of Justice’s ability to fight voter suppression and gerrymandering, bringing the full force of the federal government’s authority to confront voter disinformation efforts targeting African Americans and finally making sure Black Americans are in on the new clean energy of the future.

All this is similar to what other political people say all the time so its old hat at this point except for the fact the he doesnt dilute it with people of color and minority bullshit terms. Because he has specifically offered these things to us be it in general terms we need to hold him to the fire. Simply put we need to give him our specific programs related to his offers in order for us Black Americans to vote for him and other Dems in November. This is his olive branch to us so we need to give him the rest of the tree with our demands. He can offer all the generic platitudes in the world but WE have to present him our demands. So after 4 or 8 years of Biden we are not looking back at him with anger and disappointment like we are at Obama cause WE didnt demand,or even present our objectives like the Latins the Gays and the Jews. I like Biden and his ideas but we have to make him do it or nothing will happen just like before.

One example I have is the criminal justice reform stuff. Decriminalize and release drug offenders is cool but 10s of millions of Black People have no drug record and dont use drugs so this issue doesnt help us. How about with the legalization of pot Black enterpuneurs get 1st open contract bids for dispenceries, get opportunity to own building used to sell the products, get 1st dibs on growing and cultivating. We were disproportunately fucked over so we get 1st opportunity. This is an example of how we need to present our ideas to his generic proposals.

More BS.

We have a female mod that is gonna vote for a sexual molester this election. All her feminism talk the last decade been fake as fuck. As long as you work for the Dems you can sexually assault women in her eyes. :smh:

I've always been interested in this topic. I like the idea of Black companies getting a part of government contracts. If of course they're hiring mostly minorities. As they grow so should their Black employment scrolls. Anything that benefits Blacks exclusively and cost tax payer dollars is lip service.
