That war on drugs was presented as the only option to clean black neighborhoods from the scourge of drugs and violence that were plaguing Black communities.
In hind sight we find out that was a lie. There was a lot more that could’ve been done. The end result was distasteful for the Black community but how can you judge them based on that circumstance when Black communities were desperate for help and willing to accept whatever help came.
We shouldn’t make that same mistake again.
That’s not an endorsement for Trump or to go against Biden. Antennas should be up by Black people for any offer presented. We should learned from previous experience not to accept anything given because it sounds good, even if we are desperate.

I don't blame the leadership, the unions, white folk, etc.....
I blame black folk for not taking ownership of our street, neighborhoods, cities, etc....
All this relying on leadership (who ever the fuck these so called leaders are) is just putting off the work that individuals should be doing in the first place.
You want change, then first change needs to happen with yourself (generally speaking), and what's going on in your life, or what's not going on in your life.

If that is the case, then it is not up to Biden (or whoever) to come up with a plan. It will be up to us black folk to put together bullet points, and make demands. Begins speaking about have ALL kids getting pre-k schooling. Here he wants to expand Title I. However the meat of this section is providing assistance to ALL people who are poor, which will disproportional affect Black people (we've heard this before), in student loan assistance, training , etc. More trickle down.
- Expand access to high-quality education and tackle racial inequity in our education system by investing in universal preschool, closing funding gaps by race, making college affordable, and tackling the student debt crisis;
Here he doesn't really address Black people specifically (again). But Biden wants to expand Obama care which will help Black people because we are disproportionately under insured. He also wants to increase funding to HBCU's and create an "incubation" of Black professionals in medical and science.
- End health disparities by making far-reaching investments, expanding access to affordable health care, improving the quality of care African Americans receive, and making health equity a reality for African Americans;
He wants to end crack to cocaine disporpotional sentences. Realase non violent drug arrest people. End cash bail. More resources to police reform etc. He also wants to make the streets safer by hiring more police to patrol areas.
- Strengthen America’s commitment to justice by ending incarceration for drug use alone, reducing the number of people incarcerated, reinvesting those savings in communities affected by mass incarceration, and addressing systemic misconduct in police departments and prosecutors’ offices;
He he wants to restore the civil rights voting act enforcement. Protect transgender women, especially those of color. And Biden supports to STUDY of reparations and the effects of slavery in America.
- Make the right to vote and the right to equal protection real for African Americans by dramatically expanding the Department of Justice’s ability to fight voter suppression and gerrymandering, bringing the full force of the federal government’s authority to confront voter disinformation efforts targeting African Americans, and appointing a federal judiciary that looks like America;
More money to community's that are poor and more protection to monitor situations that disproportionately affect communities of color. Biden says that he will enforce and hold corporations accountable who violate ethics.

That's not true!! The war on drugs was kicked in about the end of Nam!! Before the war was kicked in, the streets were getting flooded with herion. That was in the 60s.. During the early 80s, when reagan amped up the war on drugs. Our neighborhoods werent flooded with drugs and guns and acts of violence!! In the mid 80s, the madness was starting up.. By 1989 and 1st bush got on TV and showed the nation crack and amped up the war.. The streets were already being flooded with cocaine/crack and guns and violence!! It's not leadership trust me and we gotta be realistic about this for a minute. People work to get to a certain level and want the benefits that come with that, most blacks aren't looking to equality they just want something for themselves, the community being run by mostly black women is a good example of me, myself and I.
We really need a code of ethics in the community but that may never come, these white liberals don't have to do much, get a few niggas good jobs and parade them around as the example of where the black community should be, look how fast Obama fizzled away when he left office? No one talks about him anymore (black). He's an example of failed leadership that looks out for himself and his family first.
