2. It is foolish for a government to spend more when it already borrows $1,300,000,000,000. Common Sense says that we spend too much already. The gov is already $15 trillion in debt.

Here is a simple explanation.

Deficit spending increases the debt.

A higher debt increases the interest payments on the debt.

This...in-turn...will:

A. Increase the cost to borrow.

B. Depreciate our currency.

C. Make us unworthy to be the world reserve currency or petro dollar (which will be devastating for US citizens).


More spending will lead us down a horrendous path....

I agree we are spending too much on defense but cutting government spending drastically in a time of economic hardship is a bad idea. The biggest government expense is payroll. When people talk about cutting government spending they lose sight of what is being cut. Jobs.

If you look around the country you do have public sector job growth however all these Republican governors are cutting drastically government jobs which hurts overall job creation. The only reason they are doing this is to get Obama out of office. This is the crash and burn philosophy the republicans are running with and we as the public buy into it by saying yea we need to cut government spending.

Yes government spending is a problem but it is not THE problem. THE problem is the lack of investment by the Private sector. When they say the rich are getting richer how are they getting richer. BY NOT SPENDING. lol They are the ones holding all the money. The huge American companies who are sitting on trillions of dollars not reinvesting it back into America is the problem. Microsoft alone has 60billion in retained earnings and shareholders equity. This is money the American economy will not see. It's not that Microsoft would have to give it up they would just need to invest it in Jobs to stimulate the economy.

So fixing a budget problem is about cutting spending or increasing revenues. Cutting government spending disproportionately hurts average working Americans it increases job loss. We should have been talking about cutting government spending during the Bush administration now it's too late. Drastically cutting government spending will not stimulate the economy. It's a political game that the super-rich are playing with the American people and we are eating that bullshit up.
