Jason Kidd is going to the Knicks

He's better than lin, plus he and amre have good chemistry.Mayo cant get no more than 6 mill a yr.

I don't know if he's better than J.Lin anymore BUT him and Amar'e did have good chemistry together... I'm not too familiar with O.J.'s situation but I would n't be against having him on the team... Especially with Shump being hurt... I just don't know if the Knicks can afford him if they decide to match J.Lin's offer... Plus, I hear the Knicks are interested in Camby as well... I don't know how they'll be able to pull all of that off... BUT... Who knows???:dunno:

Trade all the niggaz they were going to (with the exception of Shumpert)for Nash to Memphis in a sign and trade for Mayo. At least he can make 6 or 7 million easily. Honestly just get rid of Toney Fucking Douglas.

Fuck Lin man, they need a guard like Mayo who can shut down chalmers, do good against Dwill, and be effective against Rondo who is become more of an offensive threat. I like Felton since Tar heel days and he can make Amare happy then that would be great.

Lin is 24 and grew up idolizing Kidd... Kidd is fine backing up and mentoring Lin... What's the problem? Lin will learn from an all time great. The Knicks now have a solid second unit with Kidd running it...they pick up Camby and the Knicks r one of the deepest most vet and best defensive teams in the league... Shump comes back by say January put him and Kidd back there and u lock up other guards... Put Camby, chandler, Kidd,Lin,shump out there to change pace and u got intense defense... Where's that are the Knicks the second best team in ny thread? Lol... Knicks r going all in... They want the championship... Melo is working, stat is back to his workout, chandler is training jorts and Jordan in Cali ....even Landry is considering not signing the offer sheet and coming back... And the raptors won't stop him...

Cats hate the Knicks yet ignore this team has never been healthy a full season or post season. the offense has never clicked... And mike d was q fuck up...Now more or less they coming back intact, healthier and with an all time great pg to teach and improve the team...

Let a healthy totally in-sync team stat all the way back to his allstar mvp vote getting self and Melo stepping his game up like he says he will cuz its time Knicks team play... With the firepower and depth and vastly improved defense?

Knicks haters will have nightmares...

Three thumbs having ass!!!

:lol::lol::lol:

We may not get the best record in the East, but we will be a VERY tough out in the playoffs. As of now we're probably the 2nd strongest team in the East

Boston can't stay healthy/consistent.

Chicago won't be making any noise without D Rose barring something drastic

All we need is a starting 2 guard and we're set.

LOL why do u think yall will be better than us?

is their something i am missing?

yall will be a 5th seed at best.

we will finish ahead of yall this season.

Allows the Knicks to keep Shump. Why give away one of your best young talents for a 38 yr old PG that is a defensive liability.

Knicks, Mavericks Discussing Jason Kidd Sign-And-Trade
Jul 05, 2012 11:13 PM EDT

The Knicks, Mavericks and Jason Kidd are working on a sign-and-trade deal.

Kidd agreed to a deal with New York on Thursday, surprisingly choosing a new team over Dallas.

Negotiations are ongoing.

The most the Knicks can offer Kidd is $9.7 million over three years, by using the so-called mini-midlevel exception.

Kidd changed his mind about re-signing with the Mavericks on Thursday afternoon.

A person familiar with his mind-set said that Kidd “so much wanted to get to New York” and was clearly conflicted about his decision.

I honestly didn't want Kidd back in Dallas(as a starter and clearly he was gonna be)

But this is still a slap in the face that we tried to and still couldn't retain him

That speaks volumes of how bad shit is here in Dallas right now

Cuban has lost his motherfuckin mind

Told your ass last year to chill the fuck out and enjoy your title while you could because you would have more than enough time to complain about that team. Now look at you...spent the time you shoulda been celebrating on your doom and gloom tip and now you forced to stay on it since the team will be shit for the immediate future. :smh:

Nigga did you ever celebrate the ring?

Jason Kidd also brings something else the Knicks were sorely lacking last year. Leadership. You better believe that Kidd and Chandler will be the alpha dogs in the locker room since they were the ones who formed Voltron and smashed Miami 2 years ago. You're not going to question the only men who actually have rings in the locker room.

Ha dont think for a second that Kidd comes in there and becomes an alpha dog

Not in terms of play. In terms of "elder statesman" that basically makes Woodys job easier.

He's been in the league for 18 years, has won a ring, has been an elite player. There isn't shit Melo or Amar'e can tell him that he hasn't already heard or done. I think he makes them even more mentally tough and can really keep this squad focused.

Lin ain't resigning with the snicks and Kidd will end up being the starter

Snicks either gonna sign Felton or bum ass sessions

Tell me this didn't happen? :smh: Yeah keep Dolan running things, the Nets will soon own NYC. The Knicks have to be the worst sports franchise in professional sports history. The Knicks let their future a 23 year old Jeremy Lin, with a bright future get away, then sign a 39 year old Jason Kidd. Damn, damn, damn :smh:

Jeremy Lin is still a Knick and they signed Kidd for the backup point.

You do understand that J.Lin a RESTRICTED FREE AGENT and that the Knicks CAN MATCH... And even if they DON'T match J.Lin... There's other guys like Ray Felton out there who will be the starter...OR we'll roll the dice with Jason Kidd for ONE season as the starter... with CP3's free agency looming in the back ground... The bottom line.... The Knicks aren't in a BAD position... IF they MATCH J.Lin... COOL.... If they don't... OK... we can either get someone else OR we STAND PAT for one season and set ourselves up to enter the CP3 sweepstakes....

I know but I used to be a Knick fan since 1969 during the Willis Reed, Frazier, Barnett era.

This clown Dolan hasn't got a clue. As long as he's making the decisions the Knicks are a doomed franchise.

As much As I like Kidd at his age he's not their future. Prediction: First round elimination...again.
