Westbrook was NOT A PG at UCLA... Collison was... So basically, Westbrook was getting ON THE JOB TRAINING at the HIGHEST LEVEL OF COMPETITION...
And I don't know what draft YOU WERE WATCHING BUT... Dillard out of Weber St. was the BEST PG coming out of college... Plus, the PG class in this year's draft was WEAK AS HELL ANYWAY... Teague needs to get his weight up... work on his range... and more importantly... DON'T GET NERVOUS... Last year... In the beginning of the season, he was NERVOUS AS HELL... It took him quite a few games to get comfortable... I see the same thing happening in the pros.

Also shumps contract comes off the books 2015 at that point knicks will arguably have the most money in the league.

Sorry to kick a man while he is down........But Cuban was one of the bitch ass owner's who bitched about the Lakers trade for CP3. Odom bitched out on him, no Williams, no Nash, Jet flew off the runway, no Howard. Lakers used the Odom trade exception to acquire Nash. Sounds like bad Karma

it was the S&T for shump equaling about 9 million a year that had dudes upset. If Nash came for deal it would of been crazy. You know this but hey I know you need to talk about the knicks since the Bulls are going to be taking 2012 off. Its cool they'll retool and can start fresh in 2013.

Id take Kidd over Nash anyday

both are dinosaurs but at least Kidd plays great D

Nash dominates the ball, run in circles for the entire shot clock, and is probably the worse defensive point guard in the league (lin is a close 2nd).

Lin is 24 and grew up idolizing Kidd... Kidd is fine backing up and mentoring Lin... What's the problem? Lin will learn from an all time great. The Knicks now have a solid second unit with Kidd running it...they pick up Camby and the Knicks r one of the deepest most vet and best defensive teams in the league... Shump comes back by say January put him and Kidd back there and u lock up other guards... Put Camby,chandler, Kidd,Lin,shump out there to change pace and u got intense defense... Where's that are the Knicks the second best team in ny thread? Lol... Knicks r going all in... They want the championship... Melo is working, stat is back to his workout, chandler is training jorts and Jordan in Cali ....even Landry is considering not signing the offer sheet and coming back... And the raptors won't stop him...

Cats hate the Knicks yet ignore this team has never been healthy a full season or post season. the offense has never clicked... And mike d was q fuck up...Now more or less they coming back intact, healthier and with an all time great pg to teach and improve the team...

Let a healthy totally in-sync team stat all the way back to his allstar mvp vote getting self and Melo stepping his game up like he says he will cuz its time Knicks team play... With the firepower and depth and vastly improved defense?

Yo, I can't believe half of the shit I'm hearing from niggas in this thread. Shump is lucky if he comes back half the guard Rose is...which may be the case after that knee injury. Lin is erratic with the pill, but that's what Kidd's guidance is there for. Davis couldn't do it 'cause he didn't want to believe that Asian dude was out ballin' his ass and wanted that spot for himself. I don't think Kidd gives a fuck as much as he just wants to be closer to his Kidds (yeah it was corny). Say what you want about Lin, but if he didn't have the streak he had, the Knicks wouldn't have done shit with both Melo and Amare out.

As far as Kidd, I've been a fan ever since he was at Cal, but dude cant be expected to do much. I don't know about that amount (his deal) and the Knicks expectations, but to see one of your favorite players getting their ankles nearly broke and them looking like a shell of their former self by mediocre guards night in and night out is a sight you don't want to behold. I get where you're coming from... BUT... Did you see the PG play we got from Toney Douglas and Mike Bibby??? That shit was DISGUSTING... So taking on a 40 yr old Jason Kidd is a VAST IMPROVEMNT on what we had in Douglas and Bibby. Plus, it's good to have a mentor for J.Lin. Which is why the Knicks MUST MATCH HIS DEAL. J.Lin can be the PG of the future for us... It makes NO SENSE from a basketball AND marketing point of view to LET HIM GO... This will improve the team in so many ways, it's not even funny... If we retain J.lin and we able to stay healthy, we will be in the thick of things come playoff time... :yes:
 
kidd is there to hold shump spot til he comes back, he also solves the amare_ melo problem. he is not fast, but knows who should get the rock and where.
